Oh Lisa, you should have come with me this weekend when I was touring my favorite, gigantic antiques/flea market. Always something to catch the eye!

Thanks guys. She's still with us. One of her blood toxin levels was down, the other was up. Up is bad. The up caused the nausea. We're not giving up. The nausea won't quit, however. It's maddening. She won't eat. Wes is force feeding her. He's also giving her fluids under the skin 2x per day. Still, we don't know if it will work. We won't know for about 3.5 weeks more or so when the kidneys supposedly stabilize. It's heartbreaking. Haven't slept in about a week except for a few minutes at a time. I'm very, very tired.

How did you know a kitchen set like that has been on my mind? Love it, love it. We have an old oak draw leaf pub table that does just fine, but I have to keep a vinyl cloth on it for kid-spills. Something like your pic would be divine... just wipe it and go.

Did you find anything to take home with you?

Don't you love the handle on the top of the chairs? So practical.

Yes, this time I did. An early Zuni bracelet nicely underpriced and an oddball sculpture in soapstone that looks exactly like one of Thomas Hart Benton's horses--Art Deco galloping horse. I think it's in fact a Chinese tchotchka, per some quick look online, but I like it anyway. It was great to get out during one of the nice days. We're due for a big snowstorm tonight and into tomorrow.

This particular show is excellent for picking, plus I often take something there to sell or trade. How's your antique shop selling going?

Roger that, Ms. Dawna. Can't get anything by you. I'll throw one up tomorrow when there's some light. Maybe even the interesting horsie.

well of course, the horse, too

Took a little trip to Ft. Worth this week and did a little shopping in the old stockyards/cow town ...some dangerously cool shops there.

well...I did buy a silver feather pendant and handmade chain from a local artist, one of the boys got new spurs from this guy www.kerrykelleyspurs.com
and I found a great rustic bench for the riding arena but I guess I'll have to have it shipped.

You have that problem too...where things have a way of following you home when you've been out. After all these years...I'm still trying to figure out how that happens!!!

D, sounds like you had a fun trip. We used to take the AmTrak train from OKC to Fort Worth and spend the afternoon downtown. The train depot was next to some fun shops and restaurants, though I heard it only lasted a few years before closing down. It was a great concept and we were sorry it didn't survive. We're quite fond of Fort Worth... we lived there for a month when my husband was doing a rotation during his residency. The school put us up in an apartment and baby Phoebe and I would explore while he was working.
