How close can you get to those ducks, Art? Looks like they don't mind. And in the first pic of the ducklings, it looks like there are more than one kind!

They are very used to people being around and feeding them. Sometimes they will eat from the hand. I think that the eggs can be fertilized by more than one male, don't know if that's true. But the common breeds there are muscovey and mallard, there seems to be interbreeding doing on. The wood ducks seem to stay to their own. Wood ducks are very beautiful ducks and never seem to get tamed.

Thanks for the pics Art. Not much wildlife here I can photo. Think everything is hibernating. We are having the coldest March for a long time. I can probably get a pic of next door's cat. He likes to dig big holes in my garden to do his business.

A buddy of mine sent pics yesterday of a good bit of snow in London.

Well guys, I just watched the movie What Ever Happened To Baby Jane. My grandfather looked for this particular one for a rather long time before finding a DVD of it and he recommended me to watch it...

...And I really enjoyed it! A rather old movie but quite creepy and the actors were great, especially Joan Crawford and Bette Davis! I recommend it to anybody who's interested in older movies!

Yes, that's what they to to get more warmth from the sun on their soft spots, legs and neck. We are overrun with turtles around here, alligators too. I must get some pics of some of those.

I pretty much only watch old movies. 1939 is probably my favorite year. But Casablanca is my favorite movie.

Strangely enough I've never seen that movie! I really enjoy a lot of newer ones but some old classics are a must in one's collection. I remember buying 1932's version of Scarface a few years ago, I watched it a few times and really enjoyed it (not to mention, of course, King Kong! ).

Yes, those are good. I too like the "new" Scarface. It was on today. I think it was 1983. You would like Casablanca I think. It's a movie that one can pick up more each time. It helps to know the history of the time to get some of it.

It's definitely on my "to watch" list Art!

As for Scarface, it is a good movie but some parts in it were a tad too exaggerated and sometimes even a bit absurd if you ask me (the 1983 version, that is). Fun to watch but in the more or less same genre I much preferred The Godfather.

Yes, Godfather is excellent. Yes, Scarface got carried away near the end. Too bad really.

I can only agree with those two points in your post!

I really loved The Godfather 2 but would have much preferred it had they decided to put more scenes of Vito's youth and "career" beginning. Although the "current" story of the movie was good it was the (relatively) most boring part of it. Having read the book I must say that reading about young Vito was one of the best parts of the whole novel!

Is this from IMDB? I believe theirs has Citizen Kane as the #1, another one on my list...

Surprising indeed, if memory serves it did have good ratings when it first came out...

...Mind you, if I can be honest I tend not to take any lists of the sort seriously, like the Rolling Stone's list of the 100 best guitarists it is so subjective that you cannot get any actual fact about what or who's better than what or who else...

I've never seen that movie entirely, I was really looking forward to watching it this Easter (this movie is the only thing that will make my mother stay up very late, she watches it once a year when they show it...) but I believe it's on Friday night and since I start at 7h00 the next day I'd like to get more than half an hour of sleep...

Stop looking once you find Brian Setzer's name.

Carl, "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" was a good one! After I'd read "Mommy Dearest" I wasn't too crazy about Joan Crawford, however.

Do you like the old Alfred Hitchcock movies? "The Birds," for instance?

The Birds, what a classic it was! I wanted to watch it again along with Psycho.

When we were younger my grandfather's fun was to make us watch horror movies, he liked them and he probably got a big kick out of seeing us being scared (mind you, we weren't very young kids so there was nothing cruel in that sport...)!

Mommy Dearest, is this a story about how Joan Crawford was a spoiled brat and a witch? I remember reading that Bette Davis has quite a passion for fights with everybody, apparently she needed conflict in her life.
