We have a vintage bunny given to us by my Mom in Law. He's from the late '50s I think.

He makes a nice centerpiece item. My 5 year old decorated the tree.

And here's her version of Mr. Bunny doing his thing.

You can take a picture of the picture, Bill. Works pretty well.

Dang Lisa. I didn't think of that. You're so smart. I guess my brain clocks out after 5:00 on Fridays.

I like old things Lisa and seeing that top toy is really interesting. It has been well preserved.

Now that is just too cute, Bill. Does he get embarrassed when you break out the baby pics?

You know, that bunny isn't too scary looking. E didn't seem to think so, either.

It's made of tin, I think, and except for the cart wheels being wobbly it's in good shape. I told the kiddos that it's old and fragile and they respect that pretty well.

Thanks. Everyone thinks their kid is the cutest and I'm no exception.
No, he doesn't care. We have framed pictures scattered all over the house. What I really want to do is watch the old videos from when he was little. That would be a trip. Sadly they're on tape. Parents today have it so easy since everything is digital nowadays.

Yes, it seems like that's what the older stuff like that is make out of. I'll bet it's also made in the USA.

"J. Chein & Company... Made in USA" - I had to go look. I wondered if it might have been made in Japan.

To early for that. Remember those '"crickets" when we were very young? They were made of the same material. I wish I had some of my old toys. My brothers and I probably destroyed them. I do have a few of my old green army men.

Just looked them up on Wiki. Very interesting. They started in 1903 and made stamped tin lithograph toys from the 30's to the 50's. Interesting.

I like Violet's centrepiece and drawing. Nice having it on the table during dinner.

Cute pics of Ethan. Finally a non scary bunny costume.

I'm sure you've all seen Mike Wood's amazing Subs and Daytona's.

His older Rolex collection.

The sweet tin bunny and cart, and little Ethan, and the lovely yellow flowers--cheery contributions.

Just got in from a batch of chores in the sunshine. Soon it'll be lambing time, so a bunch of preparation for that. And planted peas and horseradish.

Spring!

I will definitely post pics once the lambs pop out (a few weeks from now). Right now the garden just looks like nice rich black-brown soil...the only thing breaking the surface is garlic, just a few inches up, nothing showy at all.

I've heard that lambs eat oats and the smallest ones eat ivy.
