Mmm, the rug.... I was worried it would be too wild for you.

I'll look around to see if we can find you a beige parrot. Might have to settle for this, which wouldn't be a bad thing as you'll have the eggs.

Thanks for the photo tour, Wes. Looks like you had good weather for a day out.

My dad would have loved that place. He flew with the Eighth Air Force and was stationed at Rackheath.

But I am wild this is why I need a calming beige influence at home, to help calm me down, after a day of being wild

Well it is ice cold here and was blowing a gale. They asked if I wanted to go up in a Tiger Moth, open cockpit. I was like, er, think I'd rather have a cup of tea in the warm restaurant.

Yes think I remember seeing some of his memorabilia you posted up. Think that is in Norwich, about an hour from me, I wonder what plane he flew in?

That is a great collection of planes! There's a good air museum in Tucson AZ and of course the Smithsonian. Never get tired of seeing that stuff. Now the travel, that's another story!!

B 24 - a bomber named School Daze. Dad had a snapshot of it in his scrapbook.

Here he is in front of the barracks at Rackheath...

Lisa,
I hope you didn't get duplicate PM's from me. I sent you a response a couple of days ago, and yesterday, I was looking at my messages and it didn't send so I sent it again. But now, I don't even really think my inbox is working right. I don't think I was over my limit? I dunno. I deleted a bunch of stuff so we shall see. Anywhoo. Sorry if you got multiple replies.

Hi, Carl. I pop in from time to time, but mostly in stealth mode. I only comment when I find something to comment on.

I hadn't noticed. Thankfully a poor short term memory keeps me from noticing that type of thing. I'm just happy to get messages!

Are you just being polite? Isn't it really because it's too difficult to get a word in edgewise with this yappy crew?

It's because everything he says is billable.

Don't be silly. Someone's still going to have to carry their luggage.

Chickfarmer, dbelle and Lisa. Y'all would be proud of me. I was at a friends house today and I recognized a good many pieces of pottery. I asked him if that was Roseville pottery. He said yes. I knew his lovely wife was from Ohio, he said that her grandfather was the designer for Roseville Pottery and they have quite a bit of it in the family. His wife is in her early 50's so that would give you an idea of when the grandfather worked there.

What one can learn in the CS.

Man Bill, I've done my share of that. My wife once went to S. America with the kids and 14 suitcases. And as usual guess who had to load it all up? Daughter thinks I'm her personal pack mule when going and coming from school. She learned from her Mother, I guess.

Hey Bill, you want to come along and help me?

Do I? If I was to hear the beautiful Coffeeshop ladies talking with their "Y'all" and whatnot I just know I'll get weak in the knees and I'm quite sure I won't be able to stand upright.

Yes you are all welcome to come over. I will send my private jet to come pick you up. Only two seats though, so a couple of you might have to stand on the wings, when I get them re-attached.

chocks away.

Not to prolong the matter, but I discovered that George Gershwin has the same birthday as I do, (he was born a few years earlier) and he is buried in the town where I spent 2 years in HS. I didn't know it at the time.

I wonder how many watchstraps he had.
