Mikki, you know, if some people need to make ideology more important than the other deep things that bind you, that is not in your control, just a very disappointing fact of humanity sometimes. Facebook makes it more obvious with that in-your-face way, but yeah. It's not a ball of fun. Sorry.

Mikki, I'm so sorry to hear that your life and year have been so hard on you. I can only trust(I'm crossing my fingers)that the rest of your year will bring happiness and joy to your life. I sure do not understand and probably never will know why family can cause and create so many problems and heartache.....

Love the chick pics, Lisa. I'll have to think of a song to play for them

Oh and if you get a pic of them running, or mid run, I have a really good pun for that.

While I was in NH, went to Portsmouth with the family. We found a shop FULL of very vintage jewelry of just about every type imaginable. They had some very sweet pocket watches, and some nice other pieces, but nothing I felt like buying at the moment. Lisa, you'd just go crazy in that shop. Anyway, I asked about the ring my grandmother gave me. The woman at the shop was very knowledgable about her jewelry and her history, and told me she guessed my ring is from around 1915. Sweet!

I would have enjoyed that shop, for sure, Mikki. You're talking about your onyx ring? That really is a looker.

Good evening Coffeeshop!

I just wanted to say hi to you guys since I couldn't log on TRF from my home computer last week (a rather strange problem as it happened all of a sudden whilst I was lurking), I logged in a few times this weekend but shortly since I was working and I had to bring my laptop to my apartment this week to be able to have an access to the website while I try to fix my computer. I hope everybody is doing well.

Mikki, I would like to join everybody else and send you the best positive vibes I can send in order to make the rest of your year go much better, it's unfortunately the best I can do but do know that you are a great person and that life will go well for you with that great personality you have (despite the rainy days, the sun always gets to shine).

Hi Carl, if you still can't log into TRF from one location(home) it is likely that your IP has been blocked, due to too many page requests in a short period of time. PM Steve with your "IP address"(type in google) He may ask if your virus protection is up-to-date.

I thought about that but since my laptop (which is plugged on the same internet wire) can go on TRF wouldn't that mean that it's a problem regarding my computer itself? Do two computers plugged on the same wire have different IP addresses?

They will have different IP's(ipconfig) but it's the ISP assigned IP that would be blocked, which should be the same. Type IP address in google on both.

So sounds like a spam/virus issue. Try to ping www.rolexforums.com in a command prompt (cmd) on both machines.

Could try to do a system restore (windows) pick a date when it was working and roll back. (won't lose any work/docs etc) and can roll forward again if needed.

I'll try the system restore Wes, I'm afraid I cannot ping TRF on my other computer right now as it's not connected to Internet and is shut down but I'll try those things tonight, thank you!

Thanks, human dudes. I have a ewe just yelling with envy at them...she was very confused at first thinking they were hers, but I penned down the mom and babies away from her, so that helped. I believe I'll have more very soon. I'm outside a lot these days!

J, I'm glad to see the your Ewe's have started giving birth...I wish you the best and many babies to come. Btw. I do not remember what do you call the babies...besides 'dudes'? Seeing that I'm an urban dude I'm definitely out of the loop...not something I remember learning in school and of course no 4H in the suburbs!!!

Haha Leo,

I had to learn this all too, having grown up a true city kid. They're "lambs." Boy lambs are ram lambs, and girls are called ewe lambs. After the male lambs are neutered they're "wethers." The daddy is a ram, but the nickname is a "buck."

Buck and wether are also used for male goats, BTW.

I am happy to be freshly scrubbed after a long day of funny smells.

Thanks! It is beautiful, and worn by my Aunt Elizabeth (my daughter's middle name) left to my grandmother who left it to me. It means a lot to me now that she's gone.

Yay! LOL

From Philadelphia, so it's been a journey. But it was always in the cards for me. I am sure I was imprinted (the way baby ducks are) by a book in childhood about farm life and farm houses and green things.

My East Coast family would call me on the phone sometimes and listen to various exploits in the garden or barn and say, "You put your arm where?"

Yep, they were shorn recently. Have to time that carefully so they're not too shaken and stirred right before lambing.

The wool is garbage, sadly. The shearer takes it with in a giant bag, carts all of his shearing wool off to a regional place that sells it as a big lot. It's worth nothing. There is no wool market anymore in the US--Australia and China control it. Worth $.20-$.40 per lb shorn for ordinary wool. The only people who make money are spinners, but they also have a lot of hassle to get it value-added enough to make something.

That's a shame that not much can be done with all that wool. Can it even be composted, or used as mulch, or something? Actually, I wish I had a few bags full of it right now - supposed to get a freeze tonight and it'd make a dandy cover for me tomatoes.
