Non date sub

5513. I was 20. Only kept it for a few months then sold it to a friend because I wanted one with a date. Bought a GMT Master that I still own, 31 years later.

bought it previously owned at an AD for 5K

Not too sure whether it was actually previously owned though, as nearly all protective stickers were attached and had only been owned for 6 months.

I have reason to believe it was old stock, as it was oddly replaced by another the very next day.

1980, Bought from J Herbert Hall Jewelers in the Westminster Mall, Westminster, Ca; it was an all gold GMT MASTER witha superjubilee eighteen karat gold bracelet, it retailed for $5,880.00 then and I was 19yo - do the math !

Bought an SS GMTIIC at the age of 19. Sadly it was stolen a few days after I turned 20 without it being insured.

Not sure if I can ever bring myself to own that model again, I'll forever want my one back due to what it meant to me, all the years of minimum wage while I was at school that I worked to buy it.
