Now the junior Past Master.

My time in the line was great, but very grateful to be done. I'd like to do it again if the brothers would have me when I'm retired. I never felt like I could give it 100% while working a job and raising a family at the same time. No way I could have done it without the support of the brothers in my lodge.

Next order of business is filling a hole in the South for a degree next week. It will be nice to essentially sit and watch.

I'm looking forward to some time on the sidelines.

I am hoping to knock out my 3rd degree catechism the 2nd Tuesday of November. Then I can start my progression through the chairs. Should be fun!

Funny that this thread has been resurrected, I just dug out my Past Treasurers jewel for tonight's meeting, both my stepsons will be receiving their first degrees tonight.

Junior Deacon for me next year, I guess I'm on my way. I should make the chair in five years.

I was installed as Sr. Deacon tonight and also awarded the Mason of the Year award at my lodge.
Feeling both proud and humbled.

Congratulations Bill, that's fantastic!
Holly's sons received their seconds last night, I was there on the sidelines.
They won't be raised until January because of elections and installations this month. I'm also teaching them and they're doing great.

At least you can get a little shut eye when you're Tyler, kinda like you're used to!

I got as far as JD at Lodge of Round Table back home in South Wales. I joined a new lodge in SE England when I relocated for my job about eight years ago but left after two years.

Without going into too much detail, they were getting on my f nerves. They kept asking (read: almost demanding) that I attend LOIs in the evenings. For some reason that defies logic, no one seemed to be able to wrap their heads around the fact that I couldn't time travel. The Lodges started at 1800; I left the office at 1800 and it was an hour's drive

I'll go back to my Mother Lodge one day but most likely not until I retire

Here is some info, different states have slightly rules and regulations though. If you search your states grand lodge you should get some good information.
