My modest collection. Apologies if you've already seen this image on Rolex forum.

I just this one early this month. Nice trade with local collector. My navi is one of the classic watches that was missing in my collection. I have been contemplating giving it to my best friend who is in love in this particular model.

Bought this one drunk in Vegas. I'll change the band then I'll wear it more.

Ha! Was it at a boutique or elsewhere?
Probably not the right thread or forum, Mods please move/suggest appropriately, but in this case of non-Rolex purchases in Vegas, and in the era of eBay, are pawn shops around there a worthwhile treasure hunt to try to find sub-$5k divers or sport watches?

Oh yeah. In my opinion the old model Steelfish SuperOcean is among the nicest diver watches ever.

Here's my Breitling review.

I have a Chronomat ... it doesn't get a ton of wrist time but it's sentimental and I still love it. Graphite dial with Graphite sub-dials ...

A couple of each in fact

The Cosmonaute was my first "nice" watch, and it'll never go anywhere, so resale values of no concern. Technologically I think some of the newer Rolex offerings are probably a bit more advanced, but if you're looking in the "Young-timer" vintage market I think they are very comparable. The 5 row Fighter bracelet is every bit as comfortable as the Oysters on my GMT/Daytona/TC.

As for busy dials, there are a lot of dials in the Breitling catalog that are easier to read then a YMII! Buy and wear what you love!

I still have a few Breits that don't get worn much anymore, more so due to the fact that I wear dress shirts more often now and I find the Breitlings to be too thick at work.

Breitling & Rolex

After many years of being an avid Breitling fan I recently purchased my first ever Rolex, an Explorer 11 Polar White. I still love my Aerospace the best though W18W5083_5 (1).JPG

I have a black dialed steelfish that I bought as my first automatic watch and I love it even more today than when I picked it up 10 years ago.

My LE Blackbird gets as much wear on its pilot bracelet as it does the oem rubber dive strap.
