Everyone whining about the alleged 'cheating' seem to forget that the Patriots dominated the second half of that game - AFTER the balls had been switched back to the regulation pressure.
So really the Patriots played better with the harder balls than with the softer ones. That's why this whole ball controversy is such a NON-issue. No matter, the 2 week long distraction didn't work and The Patriots won.

The outcome of the game is immaterial. Chris Collinsworth thinks we'll know tomorrow what the league's finding are. I hope the drama will finally be over.

Perfectly confident the inflate gate will be determined no foul and that people will still complain about it

Based on the evidence developed in connection with the investigation and summarized in this Report, we have concluded that it is more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the NFL Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate attempt to circumvent those rules. In particular, we conclude that it is more probable than not that Jim McNally and John Jastremski participated in a deliberate plan to circumvent the rules by releasing air from Patriots game balls after the examination of the footballs by NFL game officials at the AFC Championship Game. We believe that McNally and Jastremski were aware that the inflation level of the Patriots game balls following pre-game inspection by the game officials would be approximately 12.5 psi and planned for McNally to deflate the balls below that level following the pre-game inspection using a needle provided by Jastremski. Based on the evidence, we also have concluded that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities of McNally and Jastremski involving the release of air from Patriots game balls.

Goodell better come down hard on all of them. |

This report calls out Brady, he has to answer to it, period. He claims he knew nothing, this report is calling him a liar so his actions from here-on-in will determine what happens. If he clams up, or comes out guns blazing I'd be suspicious. We shall see...

Another forum I frequent stated that it was reported Brady refused to turn over his phone for analysis to Wells and his investigators.
I haven't read the entire report yet, but I wonder if that is contained within the report anywhere. Similarly, although Tom Brady appeared for a requested interview and answered questions voluntarily, he declined to make available any documents or electronic information (including text messages and emails) that we requested, even though those requests were limited to the subject matter of our investigation (such as messages concerning the preparation of game balls, air pressure of balls, inflation of balls or deflation of balls) and we offered to allow Brady‟s counsel to screen and control the production so that it would be limited strictly to responsive materials and would not involve our taking possession of Brady‟s telephone or other electronic devices. Our inability to review contemporaneous communications and other documents in Brady‟s possession and control related to the matters under review potentially limited the discovery of relevant evidence and was not helpful to the investigation. Edit above. |

Agree. If it's going to go on, and it's not on the up and up, why use electronic communication at all? Face to face conversations where any sort of investigation would discover NOTHING as long as the parties don't talk. And if the parties talk, it's "he said, she said" where one side doesn't agree with the other side's story.

they are more probable than not, still isn't definitive proof.
how can you come down on someone for we think 51% to 49% that they did it? what a waste of NFL resources for this entire investigation and all they got was "we think they might have possible maybe known about it" good job by the NFL on another witch hunt. |

I read this on the Internet I have not researched it myself to see if it is it is in fact true.
So during the investigation the Wells report hired a company, who once said second hand smoke doesn't cause cancer. Oh ok....very reliable source. |

No bigger Boston sports fan anywhere then me, but this is getting very tiring. Can't wait till Sunday's mother's day Brunch at my BIL's house, he's a GIANTS/Yankee's fan and my Nephew lives in Baltimore, loves the Ravens and they both have battalions worth of ammo for me. I better wear my Kevlar undies... That's just silly, the NYT did a piece 3 years ago that talked about individual QB's treatment of game balls. It was Brady and Payton Manning (when he was with the colts) that went to the rules committee to get them to allow the teams to scuff up the balls before games.

I'm not disputing that QB's like to have a certain feel to their balls, whether that means scuffing them or massaging them or whatever it is they do with their balls. |
