I could see a YG green sunburst and bezel actually replacing the YG GMT Master green dial when the 3285 is added. I'd guess it would be a darker color green bezel and dial compared to the Hulk though.

True. He did indeed look like a dodgy fellow.

I'm not saying I agree with him...merely relaying what he said.

No worries; I'm not shooting the messenger. I'm just noting it's wacky pronouncements like that that give AD information a bad name.

Hopelijk kan ik dit jaar in oktober een Baselworld 2019 release oppikken.

I translated what you said. Fact that I live in NL doesn't mean I know Dutch, I'm just a student here, with education being in English.

I would expect it to be less hard to get cause I can remember they had CHNR new for like 14 or smth like that for over a month. Although Steiner does have one for 15.2k so things might have gotten worse since I checked. Or I might remember the price wrong.

I just purchased an 114060 this past week - a bit scary with Basel weeks away, although I know it would be years before I got my hands on any of these new releases.

I would hate to instantly have an "outdated" watch if an updated movement or red text is added, but if any changes are made I selfishly hope it includes an increase in case size. I find the 40mm to be perfect (for me), and would love to have the "last of the 40mm subs."

In other words, changes to the sub could either be a blessing or a curse as a new owner. Now to hold my breath...

I think you made the right decision jumping on the opportunity to buy the Sub when it was presented to you (so long as you really wanted a Sub). I seriously doubt they will be increases the size of the Sub though. They have other related watches in the current catalog for those that desire a larger diver watch.

That watch will basically look the same until the end of time so no need to worry about what’s coming. Maybe they change they movement but that really makes no real world difference. Enjoy!

Thanks, and "jumping on the opportunity" is the correct term for this experience. It was between the 114060, or the 214270 that I love but not quite* as much as the sub. I put myself on a waiting list for both last Wednesday, and the AD called on Friday with the first 114060 they'd gotten in quite a while. He had warned me it could be months for the sub, so we were both surprised to say the least. I was actually at the mall already with friends having lunch, so I paid the bill and was there in minutes. It was "first come first served," and another buyer showed up while I was there for it. The demand is real...

Truly my dream watch - I'm elated. Won't be my last Rolex, but I plan to never part with it, just grow the collection around it through the years. I'll post a thread with my experience once I'm able to upload photos.

This reflects my thought process - thanks for the affirmation!

I doubt they'll update the Sub aesthetically, likely just the movement if anything.

That's crazy! Early bird gets the worm, so to speak

Very glad the whole thing worked out for you. Looking forward to reading your write-up!

I'm hearing BLNR may be discontinued (as many others are) but I am curious to know if that means a movement update and nothing else, or true discontinuation.

My gut tells me we'll see a new Explorer 36 with lumed 3-6-9 at Basel this year.
