The YMII on the other hand.. Hands down my least favorite. Along with the Cellini, which I wouldn't ever give a second look.

Have you seen a Cellini moonphase in-person by any chance? I had no interest in them either until I saw one. Beautiful dress watch in my opinion, and understated. If I wore a suit and tie everyday I would consider one

I hadn't seen that, that is very pretty. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson long ago, I just end up not wearing dress watches, which is my loss because there are so many gorgeous watches out there. I've had to sell several dressy watches before I realized there was no point. At least the DJ and DD are still somewhat sporty, so I can wear those.

But design-wise I could wear any Rolex if the cyclops was removed.

Just a quick correction. The Daytona hasn’t ever had any aluminum parts, including the bezel.

I wouldn’t. At that price range you can get more serious brand names of the likes of Lange Saxonia or Patek Calatrava. All equally gorgeous

If I had to go with one, I'd go with a two tone datejust with a fluted bezel.

Completely agree. I've heard the lack of AR coating on the underside is very apparent if the cyclops is removed. I reached out to the owner of the watch pictured above to see if he had photos from other angles, or if it was something he noticed. Unfortunately, the photos were older and the poster seems to found life outside of watch forums.
