Be interesting to learn what the market value really is, as opposed to what they try to sell them for.

You got that backwards, Market value is what you can buy it for.

Exactly. That’s the price that Greys can buy them for. And so can private buyers.

That’s not the same as the prices asked (but not necessarily) achieved by Greys. Also, reputable Greys will be able to command a premium, which is the value of their brand. Hence sold prices by a Grey = market value of watch + brand value of reseller. Private sellers generally have zero brand value, hence they can only get market value when they sell.

Having just bought and did a catch and release with the new ref 126500 white dial, it makes sense to me why the Pepsi might be more desirable than the new SS Daytona as just one opinion

The latest reference Daytona was so nice, but just didn't give me that "it" factor I was looking for, versus the PepsiC is incredibly nice and well put together in person, with just that right "pop"

If Rolex ever slimmed the case down to the 5 digit 16710 size, I would be an instant grey market buyer

My AD told me the same thing a few weeks ago when I asked about a Pepsi.. and I had a hard time believing it, but here we are. I thought what she meant to say is that even though they get more Daytona's, I'm still never going to get either one.. and I'm pretty sure I heard the entire store laughing out loud when I left (just kidding about this part). :).

I do believe I would be brought to tears if I was offered a Panda.. it would be that special to me. I doubt it will ever happen though.
