Yes the refinery is running. It looks old because it is old. All refineries are "old" in the sense that there hasn't been a new one built--well I don't remember since what date, but like nuclear plants, they are simply too costly to build now, EPA factors etc.

We are in the midst of a "turnaround" which is big word for maintenance shutdown. We are due to start up soon. We aren't the biggest refinery in the area, but we do ok.

Typically, several are actually sheep, including the first image of the one with the long neck and black face.

Kinda like assembling footage of humans and chimps and calling them all "New Yorkers."

Please accept my apologies for this mistake Jay!

...I need to gey myself some sheeps and goats...or...heck, whatever makes those noises on a daily basis!

Oh it's not on you at all, dear Carl. It's just our general citified disconnect at work. I often find egregious things like this done in serious scholarship, not just fooling around clips.

But nobody can say the sounds aren't funny!

Aren't they? I did laugh quite a few times while watching those...I guess I'm as bored as I enjoy lauging...

The first two ones are the best if you ask me!

Now here's a little something for Bill. My friend, have you ever heard that song before?

The singer is the one from Slipknot, I think he has quite the voice and find this song particularely powerful, let me know if you like it!

Have a good night all!

Carl, I started liking it at around 2:50 when it picked up.
Here's a bit of 'pop' Slipknot that was played on the radio. Turn it up.

Bummer for me. Back at the 2008 Mayhem Fest concert my son overheated and we had to leave early. We missed Slipknot.

Carl,
Where are you going to keep all your chickens and goats (or sheep)? Your apartment might get crowded. :)

You are right, when it picks up the song gets very good but I must admit that it wouldn't be as good without the sad intro, it seems like you need it to appreciate the rest of the song.

Before I Forget, a classic! I used to play it in my young/nerdy days on Guitar Hero...

Corey Taylor's songs aren't always quite my style but he sure has quite the voice.

Hi everyone, been out of town last week working at a coin show and leave tomorrow for another five day coin show in Ohio that I will also be working at. I did get home on this past Sunday but my RA has been flaring up so I have been taking it easy. I will do my best to keep up with this thread and as for assisting with Horticultural questions they will probably have to wait till next week when I get home and have my reference books and the computer at my disposal.....

Wes, to give you any assistance with your lawn it would be great to know which varieties of grass you have. One thing I would recommend would be to do a Core Aeration procedure and then fertilize the lawn.....

Lisa, I believe what you have is a token done of John F. Kennedy and is probably not worth very much as many were done especially after he was assassinated. Do you know or have an idea of what kind of metal was used to make the token? And no, I have never seen this particular coin/token/metal.....

Everyone take care and have a great week.....Leo

I got a call that my PAM 241 date change is fixed N/C by the AD. They said they watched it for a few days. I told them I depreciated them staying up til midnight to keep an eye on it. Anyway, the 7750 fragility strikes again. I'll either keep it wound or advance the date by cranking the time forward.

Greg, I do have problems in the morning getting up and starting my day. With RA it's called "Morning Stiffness" and I have it in all my major joints and it's really bad in my wrists and hands. And just starting this year, lucky me, it has worked it's way into my shoulders, shoulder blades and the base of my neck. It takes between 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the stiffness to subside to a tolerable level(but at this level most people would scream for morphine) and the barometric pressure changes play havoc with my joints as well. Also the seasonal changes affect me as well but luckily late Spring and Summer are my best seasons...for pain they are giving me Norco's(10mg.)and also Dilaudid(4mg.). But of course you know they only do so much toward relieving the pain as nothing works to completely take away the pain.....

But I am still grateful to be alive and I do enjoy each day as they come. I look at each day as an opportunity to learn and experience what life brings me and I am grateful for the friends and family I do have. I keep myself busy with reading and hobbies and do my best to stay positive and upbeat. If you ever feel like wanting to talk send me a PM and I'll give you my phone numbers!!!

Take care my friend.....Leo

My Dr was thinking of giving me gabapentin for the nerve attacks in my residual limb. Feels like an ant colony crawling around in it. Sometimes it comes on for a few days then goes away so I am not anxious to add yet another subscription to the load of periodicals I take every day.

Cholesterol, Thyroid, BP, and stuff like that. Feels like the Statin Island Ferry, otherwise known as the ferry with the syringe on the top.

Yeah it stinks to get old and the knee on my good leg is shot to heck and really needs displacement.

Went to pain doc this morn and got my drugs for the month. Went to pick them up and was told Ive run out of benefits already.
Oxy was now over 300 bucks a month for 2 pills .....going to have to find something else for the next 7 months.
Use to be we would hit the "donut" hole in Oct......then it was Aug.......now April?
Why bother to even pay the Ins for drug cost.......... its worthless now.
I could but a new Ferrari for what my wife and I pay for drugs now.,...the cost are just insane now.
rant over............

Thanks Leo. Think the grass is a rye and fescue mix. Got myself a decent lawnmower now, also ordered a aerator roller. Then will have a look at some ferrtilizer.

Hopefully by the weekend I can have a nice game of lawn bowls.

Hope a good trip to the coin show.

Lawn, lawn? What is this thing called "lawn." We are, on 1 May under a winter storm warning for possibly 6" of SNOW. It will be only slush on the roads since the ass fault has warmed up pretty well, but on the grass......

At least I got my 241 back and managed to get the date advance to 1 May without throwing the date out of sync.
