Well if you watched the documentary the other night, you realise that bears don't actually hug. They beat the living daylights out of anything they come in contact with

Love these pics, J. Look how lush and green everything is.

Do you find very many shed antlers? Our local antique shops like them... they're marked upwards of $15- $30 each.

Does your ram think it strange that his new companions enjoy standing on picnic tables?

We find them occasionally. The dogs are very astute collectors. One year, they more or less reassembled an entire deer.

The ram was confused/interested and keeps trying to climb the table, but he can manage only his forelegs on the bench. Then he realizes it's not a ram thing. Never before have I supplied "toys" in the field other than bales of straw for jumping and leaning. This is a hit!

Put the whole veggie garden in this morning, and a bunch of pots of flowers. Need nap now. Is that a futon I spot in the corner of the Coffeeshop?

What did you plant? Do you start anything from seed or just buy the started plants?

All I have, besides the herbs, are five tomatoes, three peppers and 10 hills of potatoes. The two giant pumpkin plants just aren't growing well - too bad, as we had visions of enormous jack-o-lanterns like the one pictured on the front of the seed packet.

I wonder... this time of year, J, do you work from sunup to sundown? There seems to be a so much to do at your little slice of paradise.

June and Chicky are so sweet.

Uh, a full veg garden, the usual stuff from plants, the rest from seed. Tomatoes, peppers, green beans, peas, broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts (a specialty--people who hate em love mine), onions, kale, mesclun lettuces, spinach, beets, cukes, and herbs--basil, dill, thyme, rosemary, sage. And garlic (there already, not today). And sunflowers from seed. No corn, because it takes a big space and there's so much great corn grown around here.

I worked from sunup today, but only on rare days is it like that. Otherwise it's maintenance, daily. Of course the lambing period is insane, and I'm outside all April and May. But then it settles.

Thankfully, there's a willing victim on the lawnmower, not me.

Bill, for the record, the last person I've heard saying the word physicist was Dr. Pavel...according to this video it didn't quite help his case!

Close enough Wes and I understand your confusion, we do look similar...even though I have slightly bigger arms!

I did make a mistake but got quite a kick out of the jokes we made about it, as far as I'm concerned there was nothing mean in what you wrote, quite the contrary Bill!

What's the point of making mistakes in our second languages if we can't laugh at them?

Nutella is great! They touted it as "healthy" and someone initiated a crass action lawsuit. I think I'm gonna get $25 from that. I'm still waiting for the $25 from the diamond "price fixing" crass action. I sign up for a lot of them, as many as I can. Gotta love it!

Well 25$ sure can get you a lot of Nutella...just make sure you are careful when you eat it above your keyboard!
