I too like that Omega and could see having and wearing one.....

Oh, that's right right we were talking about pink...I told Pam if she decides to have a viewing for me when I'm gone from this world she could lay me out with a pink shirt on. I mean...I won't be here to see it so it really doesn't matter. But then I plan on being cremated so maybe she will forego any kind of a wake...which will be fine by me. As I plan on her or Ben spreading my ashes in the Garden anyways!!!

But maybe...just maybe if I had that Speedy you could get me to wear a pink T-shirt!!!

Its been a bad day for me...I had to have two cracked bottom teeth pulled today but the real pain is I have to have another partial made.....which cost a pretty penny and with no dental ins.....I have to pay it all.
As with most junkies like myself one of the long term effects of Oxycontin use is cracked teeth and at most Ive lost 7 in the past 2 years.
The front ones I had implants but the back ones I use bridges and now partial dentures.

I also visited a Tag Heuer boutique where I tried on a Monaco Limited Edition, but that's just a very heavy and bulky watch with a strap that is way too thin for the weight.
I really like the look of the Monaco watches but they're not made for my wrists unfortunately.
Very nice shoes Bas, well done!

Another fan of small watches? How big are your wrists?

Nothing against pink or fancy undercrakers Wes, myself has some pretty elegant satin ones with small hearts in which you will see Homer and Marge Simpson dancing, that's some swag if I ever see some!

P.S.: That Speedy is great! Too bad they don't make smaller models of the manual winding one...

My wrists are 6.25 inches, not very big
My Seiko diver is about as big as I can go with a watch, I much prefer the small size of my Cartier Tank.

Hi, my wrists are only 6.25 inches too and I can just get the SS Bracelet to fit on my wrist without taking out a permanent link. But all the removable links are and have been taken out and it was 'touch and go there' for awhile!!!

Btw...do you wear pink???

Take it easy.....Leo

6.25, that's a pretty good size if you like medium to small watches.

Last time I checked my wrists were 7" but they may be smaller, I wear anything that goes from 40mm (although you will only see that type of watch on my wrist on rare occasions, I get to find it big) to 26mm (mostly on tonneau and rectangular watches, vintage timepieces are, as you know, my favorite models). I'll have to measure them again to see, I did lose some weight since and I see my bones more than I used to around my wrists.

P.S.: Formal shirts with a bit of pink are very classy if you ask me, I should probably give them another try...

I already posted in the other thread but I'd like to thank all the people in the Coffeeshop who took the time to post birthday wishes in the other thread, I really appreciate the thoughts!

P.S.: Leo, did you really tell Wes to let me win an argument? As far as I know he never won any...

It's sure a pleasure to watch and see younger men splash their 'Ego's' around and it's good for your Self-Eesteem as well. So what are your plans for your special day???

Too bad you and Art can't meet up for awhile to share your birthdays together and have some fun celebrating together...just think of the trouble you two could get into!!! LOL!!!

Enjoy today in what ever you choose to fill your day with.....I like vintage watches as well, especially pocket watches!!!

What's up bro-hiem! Happy birthday to you and of course to Art. Wanted to play some nice piano for you guys, but song I'm learning has been kicking my butt, and it's too hot to play.

Only other speedmaster I like is this first in space. 39.7mm and same manual wind.

Oh and just want to point out, all my other underwear is the usual manly colours. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Wes, that brown strap looks good on that Speedy. I'm not much of a strap guy, too humid around here but always had a soft spot for a brown strap on a black dial watch.

How often must one wind?

I wear Levi 505's and swear by them...I do not need relax fit jeans as I swim in them as it is. At one time Levi had a program where you could have custom made jeans. They would take your measurements and then charge a setup fee(a one time charge) then as you ordered more Jeans they would have your measurements stored on a Cassette.....
They use to have lengths smaller than 30" but not anymore and they also made very thin lined Corduroys back in the 1970's...oh well.....I'll just continue to roll up my pants to have cuff?!!!

Take care......Leo

Has a 2 day reserve, your best bet is to wind it once a day though. Doesn't take 10secs to do, doesn't have a wind down crown.

Yeah these ones fit nice. Also I love these nike rifts trainers, live in them in summer. They are so comfy, like slippers(can get them in pink) Never been a fan of sandals. The only problem is if you wear them a lot on consecutive days they begin to pong I have a few pairs.

Wes, have you ever tried Birkenstock Sandals as they are very comfortable and I live in them during Spring, Summer and early Fall until the weather gets cold. The Unisex style are called Arizona and then I do not remember the name but the same pair with a strap around the ankle to hold them on are also quite popular. Check them out and give them a try...I think you will like them and wear them!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

Jeez you're up early Leo. Will check them sandals out, thanks. Yeah you need some ankle support, how people walk without that or in flip flops, I don't know. Have to sort of scrunch your toes up to try and make them stay on.

Yes, I'm am usually up early in the Summer. The Birkenstocks have footbeds designed to hold your feet on and with the style of Sandal with the strap going around the ankle...these will definitely stay on your feet. They are totally different than 'Flip Flops' but be prepared that it will take a couple of days for your feet to get comfortable with these Sandals. But they ARE WORTH IT!!!

Take care...Leo

That sounds like blisters. Bit like my new work shoes that are currently filled up with my blood.

Nope...no blisters or anything like that...the footbed is design to allow your feet to grip the surface...that is all. Other than they will be the last Sandals you will ever buy because they are so comfortable and you can get the soles replaced when they wear down. You also can get the foot beds replaced if needed but in 23 years I have never had this done...just the soles!!!

Take care.....Leo
