Smelly things and MB's troubled doggy=bad.

Karis in da house=good.

Hi guys. Just trying to get through the bad heat wave. My dogs are spending their daytimes sprawled on the cool floors inside. I feel the same.

We have a Heat Advisory and they recommend staying indoors in A/C.....
I sure don't blame your dogs for staying in the A/C!!!

Just ordered Birkenstock-Birki Haiti's which are made out of Neoprene to wear and use in the Garden...they come in different colors and now I can't wait for UPS to deliver them!!!

Yesterday in the heat I spent a good portion of the afternoon in two different greenhouse ranges...temps. were 116 to 120F, very slightly warm!!!

Take it easy and stay cool.....Leo

I feel like sharing this:

I have the most annoying feeling on my chest for the last few months, I can feel my heartbeat all the time and this is very scary and rather annoying when I'm laying in bed, sit etc.

This was making me worry about my heart, especially considering my grandfather died of heartfailure 2.5 years ago (he was a hearth decease patient for over 20 years and died at a respectable age of 82).

I went to the doctor yesterday, my heartbeat was very regular, my blood pressure was perfect (130/60) but he did hear a little fuzzing noice with his stethoscope.
Then they made an electrocardiogram on which everything seemed normal.
The doc said that it's probably nothing serious, but it's good to have everything checked.

I'm going to the hospital for an echocardiogram on monday, and hopefully it's nothing.

Hi J!

Ugh, the heat is horrible! If only it was 'acceptable' for adults to sprawl out on the cold floor in public places.....

Sounds scary Bas, I'm glad to read it's not supposed to be anything serious though. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow and please keep us updated my friend.

These are the Birki Haiti type of sandals(my brother has a pair for working around his home)which are made out of neoprene...they will be good in the garden when I work and water!!!

Now my other pairs are the Arizona style and I have Sand colored, Black, gray and some other color...can't remember!!!

they are the most comfortable sandals but wish the Resoling was a little cheaper than $55.00!!!

Take care and stay cool.....
Just for the Heck of it...why not go to the Mall and sprawl out all over the flooring and see if Security is called!!!

Well it sounds like you will be all set for the garden!

Birks aren't cheap, that's for sure, but as long as they last, I'm happy! The ones I bought recently were $130.

I'll let you know how the mall thing works out!

Well we are officially in a heatwave now, had 2 weeks of 30C/86F and apparently it's gonna be hotter next week. I'm sure you guys have it hotter in the US, but I can't recall a period like this. Homes don't have AC, but business/offices/shops should do, but most of the places I've been the AC has broke. Why does it only break in the summer? And the London underground is like entering a volcano.

Wes, the A/C breaks in the Summertime because that's when you need it and of course that is when businesses find out that it doesn't work.....maybe you could get together with Karis and sprawl out at a Mall.....and we want pics or it didn't happen!!!

Art, you have a smart dog...stays in the A/C when it's really hot outdoors and he/she has a nice cozy bed to chill out in!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

Can you believe my daughter found him, saw some people throw him for the car. He looked like a skeleton, took lots of trips to the vet to get him squared away, a few surgeries. That was about 7 yrs ago.

Hey Carl, I can recall you once said that you like video games.

What games do you like?

I regularly play Minecraft, War Thunder (a free to play, WW2 air-combat game), sim city and battlefield 3.

Some builds from Minecraft:

Pripyat flat building (city in progress)

And a mansion with gardens:

You want a pic of me on the floor. Well I'm off to a BBQ now, for some nice food and a few beers, so either way I will probably be sprawled out on the floor later.

I agree Karis, I'd be fine until bedtime. I am c-r-a-n-k-y if it's too warm to sleep. I want it 69 or below, with puffy covers.

Stay cool, Wes, Bas & Carl
