Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm just catching up and I too find "Male Chauvinist" comments to be rude, demeaning and degrading. I sure can not speak for anyone else but I have my 'Fingers Crossed' that I have not come across in this manner here with everyone. I know sometimes we are kidding and joking around and then in "This Scenario" we all have fun and poke at each other with amusement and laughter.....

I really enjoy coming hear to this 'Coffee Shop' because I enjoy the joking around and 'Camaraderie' we all share(but I believe and feel sometimes I cross the line and apologize to everyone if I have been condescending and degrading) ...and I treat my partner and Best Friend, Pam, with the upmost respect and kindness...after all she has put up with me for over 40 years. And in August on the 19th we will celebrate 35 years of marriage!!!

Yikes...where did all the time go.....

Well Carl and Leo, I actually do find some of your posts rude and demeaning.

So in future if you could refer to me as "Sir Wes", or "Lord Wes the most Handsome One" that would be much more respectful and gracious way to address someone of my stature.

Sorry I've been absent lately. As I mentioned to Art, I'm currently hooked on a TV series that my daughter got me started on. We're working through 7 complete seasons on Netflix. On these too-hot-to-go-outside days, I'm watching the tube with a cold drink in air-conditioned comfort!
Lisa's back You do know watching too much TV is bad for you. But think I read some scientific study that looking at a computer monitor for long periods of time has no ill affects at all. Actually I think I heard it actually has some health benefits. So less TV and more TRF is in order.

You will most definitely regret asking Leo and us to call you anything else than "Wes, mah main man"...

Or he could buy a new iPhone 5 and ask Siri to help him with all those important decisions..."like what shoes match my outfit"!!!

As we do not want him and his color blindness to make those important decisions.....

Thank you ladies!

Lisa, I've posted a thread in the Non-Rolex section with more details but basically, as you can see, this watch is a regulator, all the hands are in different positions. I've been wanting one for a long time but you see jump hour watches more often than those (a jump hour will display the hour in a small guichet like a date instead of using a hand, sometimes even the minutes will be displayed like that), I was really looking for a watch with hands only.

This watch is, I believe, from the 1960's. It's hard to really know for sure as the dial has been redone (I usually stay away from those but, as I've said in another thread, this job was so well done that for the price I paid for it it was worth the sacrifice) but I've seen the movement and it did look old, however, given the 36mm case and the 21 600 bph I don't think it's as old as a watch from the 1940's.

Top of the morning to everyone...I had the pleasure of my RA pain waking me up at 1:20AM this morning when I went to bed after midnite and the pain pills took a half an hour to start kicking in.....oh well...I'm still very grateful to be alive and have the fun of working in our Gardens. Over the past week and a half we have had a species of Hummingbird Moths visit our Gardens...and they are thoroughly enjoying the nectar from our 'Splash' of Pink and white Garden Phlox. I really enjoy when Pam is in our Gardens and people walk by and compliment her on the Gardens. I stay away and let her talk with everyone...I have set out heavy weight/gauge plastic saucers(for the past couple of years) spread throughout the Gardens for the critters and insects to have and use for drinking water. When I water with the hose and a spray nozzle the hummingbirds come by to play in the mist. Now that our Gayfeathers(Liatris spicata cultivar)are also in bloom they are attracting 7-10 Bumblebees all day long!!!

Tuesday afternoon I received my new Birkenstock Sandals and they will be perfect for using in the garden as they can get wet without a problem. They are as comfortable as my other Birkenstocks and have started using them.....
If you are interested in the 'Best Sandals' in the world I'll give you two Websites to look at and check them out. They are cheaper than at Retail stores and Shipping & Handling is included in the price.....

Shoe Buy: And they sell other Shoe Brands, Clothes and Handbags
Shoe Buy was where I ordered mine from and the day they posted my shipping order Email confirmation with a tracking number...they showed up at my door...(I bought the Birki's Haiti-Style of Sandals)
Phone Number# 1-(888)200-8414
Email Address: www.shoebuy.com

And the other Website:
Happy Feet Plus:
Phone number# 1-(800)336-6657
Email Address: www.happyfeet.com

Enjoy and have a great day.....Leo
