He is not tied down with a mortgage, no wife or steady Lady in his life or any children and Child support payments...so this would be a 'Perfect or Ideal time' to get it done, the company will pay for his schooling. So this would be a fantastic opportunity for him but.....of course he wants to continue just working and earning a steady salary.....

Take care Wes...and where is your piano concert for us...oh and pictures from your Garden???

Just for fun... I took this iphone video of Violet and the hens a couple days ago. I have no idea how to edit it, and barely figured out how to post it, so here goes! I think all you have to do is click on the pic to get the video.

Thanks y'all. Judy, you said you'd been reading way back from the beginning of this thread. Sounded like fun, so I did the same thing yesterday and was soon laughing so hard I was nearly in tears. We had some really good times. Always sad, though, to read JJ's posts. We lost him to pancreatic cancer a couple of years ago.

So cool that you appreciate music from the classic stuff to modern day. Wish I knew more about Debussy's works, but as I listened I was kind of thinking this song reminded me of "Clair de Lune." So light and beautiful. Now I know why!

Yeah, I'm only starting to appreciate it myself as I get older. Was never into classical when younger. Still struggle a bit with liking stuff like chopin and Mozart. Maybe because it is difficult to play. Although Amadeus is one of my favourite films.

That song was written in 1888, and Debussy's music was described as impressionist, like the French art of the time. Very floaty and free.

Just a hobby. Had lessons at 11-15, sort of consider that I haven't really improved much since I was 15(I'm 36 now). Maybe have ramped it up a bit since I have been recording some stuff on youtube in the last year. I don't get many hits

Will post up for you my favourite song I've played. Love this film(Braveheart) very romantic score.

I know what you mean. I need to take breaks every few pages. Geez we talked about plants a lot! Weird to read some of the old posts and have no memory of writing them. The banter between Redshirt and Jimbits was such a hoot. I really miss those guys.

Lisa, thanx for your kind words and Yes, I am at the moment a proud, Father. He is a very good and nice young man who has manners and respects all minorities, all Women and elderly individuals. But please remember he does not have a lot of patience which is one of my character defects and his Mother, Pam, was a major influence on his life as well.....

Sometimes he would call me frustrated because of the long hours he puts in(he of course is salaried) and not being or receiving promotions and being recognized for his hard work(I believe I have mentioned this before but over the past year and a half he had found two mistakes and his company recouped over a million in each scenario). I would tell him to be patient and continue to work hard. And if he was unhappy to review his résumé and start looking for a position in Financing elsewhere.....

All I want and have taught our son is to take pride in the work you do, be thorough and meticulous and above all else find happiness and fulfillment in his professional life.....

Take care and give your girls a hug for me...thanx.....Leo

Lisa, I do too...we really had some great times and now over this past year or so the members here do remind me of the earlier days...

Miss Violet, is such a pretty girl and I just know you thoroughly enjoy raising the three.....even though at times they do 'try your patience and test the boundaries'. But I know with your guidance and steady hands your girls will grow into self sufficient young woman who can change the world if they want to!!!

Enjoy your weekend.....Leo
(Psst...how are your gardens and the Climbing Roses doing???)

Yes there is -

"Wes turns up on page 350, Carl immediately feels inferior, and sulks in the corner"

Where is that knucklehead anyway?

Thanks Judy.

You can attach pics using the little paperclip. Or can paste an image link using the portrait icon, say from google images or from a photobuckle account.
