Lovely birds!

Glad to see you around Art, how have you been?
Very well, thanks for asking.

Sandhill Cranes. Rafael likes to eat these for his lunch, being that he has left Florida for a while these birds are now more at ease.

OK spend a month there in the summer....I dont like cold weather to much.
I like to wear shorts and sandals year round.
The same guy that came back with me for a week loved Scottsdale and AZ so much he transferred down here.
Like I told him all the women in Scottsdale are beautiful.....no snow...no cold weather .....no humidity
Very glad to know that! I think Montreal is a great city as well but never took the time to really walk around the city. I did it this Summer with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed that!

Now what I want to do is to go all around the province with her, we want to visit an awful lot of cities, the most popular ones like small ones here and there and go all the way up North (much further than the small city on the Noth shore).

That's very nice! Though I'm sure you'd be able to speak French a little bit if you had to come to Quebec!

As for Italian, I'm afraid I've never, ever tried to speak that language...the only words I know are Panerai, Maserati and Pannettone...

Beautiful birds, it's too cold for them here in the Netherlands though

A cup of earl grey tea and a good book, life's good.

ahhh Wes, your a handsome guy. You are sensitive, play an instrument (THE PIANO), and own a Rolex. Nice package. All your attributes Im referring to.

Carl must be inspecting his package...we havent heard from him lately.
Okay Judy, just beginning to catch up here as the Coin Show has been fun and crazy as always...I believe there is at least a half a billion dollars worth of coins here...and probably this is a low estimate!!!

Now as for Carl checking his package...which one are you referring to/is that inferring to???

And please do me a favor and ask Wes to play us a piano piece...I could use some music about now!!!

I'm sure your German is better than my French as I've never had any French classes

I'd like to follow some French classes when I'm in watchmaking school, perhaps 2 hours a week of French can teach me the basics over a period of 4 years, and speaking 4 languages is always better than just 3

But French is such a beautiful language, my dear lady! Wouldn't it be so exquisite if we could all express ourselves in the fabulous language of Molière?

Of course, the gentleman Wes the magnificent British most probably won't share my opinion but may he be warned that I shall never be more happy than I would whilst hearing some beautiful French poetry that would lull me until I fall in Morpheus's arms.

N.B.: In French, the smileys remain the same...

He had always wanted a Fortis & I got him one. He has always wanted a Breitling Navitimer but as you all know I was too busy spending money on my Rolex. LOL I found a NM white-cream Colt II. It was delivered, just waiting for my friend to tell me its all good. He'll love it. I am positive. When I was married I had given my ex a blue Colt quartz (thank god I didnt spend any more money on it. ), & my brother commented on how much he liked the style. Those discontinued models are hard to find in any colour.

coffeeshop boys...

Good morning Judy,
I too had the lovely experience of dealing with my Mom for the years before she passed on and she did her best to make them difficult. But if I could have a choice...I would love to see her alive and have an opportunity to love her and continue to take care of her. Even though she was unhappy with most areas of her life, I do miss her dearly(I guess I'm expressing selfish thoughts and attitudes).......

Those are very nice gifts you have bought your brother and I'm sure he will be "over the Moon" when you give him his new Breitling. I have my Dad's Breitling Navitimer from 1957 and plan on having it overhauled so I can start wearing it. It has beautiful patina and my Dad was a member of the A.O.P.A. For many years. As a child I marveled at that beautiful watch as I saw him wearing it everyday. I will be honored to wear his watch, my Hero, in memory. And one day I will pass it on to my son for him to enjoy!!!

Take care.....Leo

Leo..Ty for your thoughts. The watch sounds lovely..You will need to put up a pic.

I bought a pre-owned Steinhart for my brothers friend that has now been my mule 2x bringing the watches home for me. He has been a friend of ours for 25 yrs now. Great guy and having a lot of stress at home and work. He's a pilot and with downsizing, he is always on edge he wont be flying regularly. I want to post the watch but Hotmail is having issues right now and I cant. Its the Ocean 1 Green bezel diver. My goodness its a nice watch! With some time I could get used to wearing it. LOL Seriously...I want to keep it. :-( But I wont. Its 42mm and 13mm thick. It sounds big, but its not that big on me. Its more comfortable than my DJ. The DJ is same thickness I think. Rolex wear MUCH bigger cause when I put the 42mm sub on me, it was BIG and heavy. I love divers so Im going to be on the hunt for one. LOL A nice shiney black one that looks like the sub. ;-) Any ideas of any watch companies I should look at? Im not ready to buy, just want to look. The Breitling SuperOcean GMT fit nice. :-)

Gonna check email again. This is annoying.

This is quite frustrating...

I called yesterday after missing the truck for the second time and I spoke to a lady who told me that there would be a last attempt today. I asked her if it was possible to ask for a specific hour and when she told me I could choose between morning and afternoon deliveries I took the latter. I took the afternoon off from school (fear not, I have plenty of days in bank to afford that) and waited for nothing...

Worst thing is, they're supposed to leave you small papers to tell you what's going on with your package and I never got any of them. Those would have told me when the guy would be planning on coming back or where I could go get my package. Besides, on their website they offer you to click on a button and make them keep the package at their facility so I can get it myself...they don't allow me to click on said button!

To top it off, the point where my package would be held is in Montreal...Trois-Rivières only has points to send packages, nothing where I can get mine if I cannot answer the door when the delivery man comes. Of course I could go there on my way back to my girlfriend's place but then my 45$ is pretty much wasted, the seller would only use that shipping company for international purchases and I understand that he sets his own rules, he is absolutely not at fault in this but had it been shipped with regular post I would have been able to get it at my local post office...

Oh and just to add, on the website my package is marked as still in their facility in Montreal, which technically means it never left the place today...

Perhaps it will but not for me, although I gained many days at school I don't want to miss a whole day just to wait for a Fedex truck that may not even come...when I asked yesterday if the guy could come by after a certain time to give me the time to get back home the lady told me she could try but it wasn't guaranteed as it depends on what he has to deliver and where...as it turns out he probably didn't have much to deliver...not my package at least.

I could always ask them to leave it in front of my door but I don't want to take the chance with that one and I'm pretty sure I have to pay customs and duties...

EDIT: I feel like calling them but I don't even know what it would do. They will probably tell me that the package will come by tomorrow but it's pointless...

Ugh, Carl, that's frustrating beyond words. Who is the carrier?

I've gone to the delivery place before when there were problems receiving a parcel... I can't believe there's no way for you to arrange this through their website! Arggh!

Fedex, I thought I could go to their office near my apartment but it seems like that place only sends packages, they don't keep anything there for you to pick up...

I'm quite frustrated with their website as well, there's no way to fix something and it doesn't even tell you where you package is. They say a facility but which one?

Thank you Wes, it's really not about the watch itself as I'm more patient than that, it's really just the feeling that I have lost my time today as I came back home much earlier for nothing even though I took the time to call yesterday to make an arrangement...I did this for nothing.
