That is very frustrating, I hope you'll get your watch soon.

Thank you for the good wishes and kind thoughts everybody, as of yet the package is still marked as being in the Fedex local facility Breguet knows where, if they decide to try to deliver it one last time it will be today or tomorrow most probably and I will not miss another afternoon just to wait for it. If its status doesn't change when I get to school I'll call them on my break and ask about it...

If only it could be in Trois-Rivières, it wouldn't be a problem for me to get it.

P.S.: Leo, we are indeed talking about Fedex.

P.P.S.: Bas, I liked seeing your mug but an iron pickaxe is still...an iron pickaxe!

P.P.P.S.: At least spidey is here to play the song of its people!

I just called Breguet, they told me the description of your watch was too vague and they needed atleast the name of the brand

GM all... Carl, hope you get that darned watch today! We all want to see it. LOL Im off to house sit my cousins place for a few days. Its a sweet house in a sweet location. Its just gonna be me and the cat. Ahhhhh..the sounds of silence. LOL

Here is the watch I got my brothers friend that I am actually considering keeping. LOL I wont though. You know, I read a lot of reviews on this watch and many claim its heavier than the Rolex Submariner. Im not convinced...guess I have to try that on again cause the Sub is the exact look I want in my diver. Anyway.. Im going to enjoy my DJ before I get all freaky about another watch. Maybe Basil 2014 will be more successful. LOL

Here is a pic of that watch on me. :-)

Hi Karis, its a 42mm with a depth of 13 or 13.5mm. I think the lugs on the Rolex make it fit so much larger. Im going to give the sub another chance. LOL

Good afternoon Coffeeshop!

Called Fedex today during my lunch break, I asked them why they didn't deliver the package on Wednesday and she told me that they called the driver who told them he couldn't ship anything in the morning...

...Fair enough, but I specifically asked the day before to have it shipped in the afternoon...

She then told me they couldn't reach me as they didn't have my cellphone, only the seller who sent me the watch. She then asked me if I wanted to have it shipped in one of their points in Trois-Rivières...before telling me that they actually have no such point in the city (again, they only have places where you can send packages, no place where you can go get them). The closest one is back in Montreal, in the East (which is fine since it's on my way to my girlfriend's but still a real waste of money given how much I paid for their delivery service).

...And then I got a phone call from another man at Fedex!

He told me that if I wanted to I could have my packaged shipped at their facility in Trois-Rivières...

When I told him I've just been told there wasn't any he told me that technically no but one of their places will exceptionally hold the package for you and you can come pick it up from 9h00 to 9h30 in the morning, 12h00 to 12h30 or 4h30 to 5h00 in the afternoon. He said he could have the packaged shipped there by tomorrow morning so I could pick it up the very same day...

...Why didn't anybody tell me this? I have absolutely no idea!

At this point I just thought it would be too risky, with my luck the guy would be late or I wouldn't have the time to pick it up during my lunch time so I told him to keep it in Montreal and that it would be easier for me to get it there (he was very confused by that since he didn't know I was going to Montreal anyway, how in the world was it supposed to be easier for me to drive for an hour and a half to get a package instead of having it shipped in my town...).

I'm going to get the package myself tomorrow on my way to my girlfriend's place. I'll try to take some pictures over the weekend but do know that you'll see it on Monday, nothing later!

Good grief, what a freaking confusing mess! But it sounds so typical of some of the problems with shipping companies.

I actually have a Rolex question if you all can believe it... last night I was giving my old DJ Thunderbird a scrub with a toothbrush and the pin came out on that holds the clasp and old-style jubilee bracelet together. The bracelet just sort of fell open and the pin fell out in my hand (thank goodness it didn't happen when I wasn't looking). What holds the pin in? Did I lose a tiny screw? I have the pin and just sort of slid it back into place, but of course I can't wear the watch until it's fixed.

Thank you kindly for your support guys, it's much appreciated.

Wes, it's worth the wait for me and I just hope you will not be disappointed! The watch is not a complicated one but it comes from a rather well known (yet not so common) brand. You know I'm not usually into buying the name only but I do have a few watches from known brands and that's usually when I'll take the time to shop for something worth it instead of buying the first piece of junk with a name on it, I think I did good on that one.

Lisa, I must say I've read a lot of stories about USPS and a lot of other companies but Fedex usually has a very good reputation, myself used it a few times and never had any problem so I am kind of bummed that this happened. At least I always came across polite people (I must insist on the fact that I didn't yell at them or became mean, I usually wait for the other person to start changing his or her attitude before attacking...), I had a much less pleasant experience with a DHL delivery man...

Sorry to hear about all this Carl! What a disappointment. One thing positive is you pick up the watch and hang out with your girl in the same weekend. :-) Plus, she can take glamour shots of the watch. hahaha

Lisa, that's very scary! You must have had an angel on your side for that to come apart in your hands and not while wearing it! I think you would notice it missing, but its the falling to floor and shattering part Im so grateful that it happened at home.

Thank you but there's only one problem...

...She doesn't know I bought it yet!

That will be the last one for a while, my car had several problems (I was hearing a funny noise near my rear wheel on the passenger's side and when the mechanic took a look at it he said there were other pretty important problems...it's always like that, isn't it? ) and had to be kept for repairs at a garage, I'll have it back this weekend and though I have some money (one must keep his priorities in order) I'll have to take some time to save more money before I can spoil myself again...I guess it's better than being found on the side of the road with a nice watch on my wrist!

Speaking of spoiling ourselves. Im not done yet spoiling me. What do I have my eyes on? A tennis bracelet. I have wanted one for a very long time. I had gotten a cheap silver/crystal one I wear all the time with my watch. Keep in mind, I want to wear it on the same wrist as my watch. Its bezeled so there isn't any eating or chipping on the sides of my watches. Sometimes I wear it on the other wrist but I usually wear a Pandora bracelet there. Im pretty confused as to what kind I want. Here are my choices..

Diamond Stations:

Semi-bezel:

Full Bezel:

The last option I may consider is a classic 4 prong (rounded setting so they don't look square). Im not sure about this one yet. Its classic for a reason.

Thoughts...opinions? It will be in white gold.

I love em all. That's my problem. I love too many things!
