Back from a lovely beach and city break to the East Coast. Seafood and family and one incredible music concert by my favorite performer of recent years, Marty Stuart...I'm close to a Beatlemaniac for Marty and his band.

So, Hola!
I like Marty Stuart's boot collection I know a bootmaker that makes some of them for him.

Sounds like a great trip!

What an idiot, I meant Dawna also in my hellos!!!
Howdy girl. Marty's boots, eh? Well, you may know he has THE premier collection of the stars' sequined far-out costumes from the likes of Ernest Tubb, Hank, Patsy Cline, etc. They are in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville of course. He is a country-fashion madman.

OK, gotta go be a normal human in the real world. Ciao!

It sure sounds like you had a great time! May I ask who is who on that picture?

I don't see your eyes being closed on that picture though...

The watch on the right was from a random guy, he wanted to join in the fun. Think he was a bit perplexed at a watch meet I just was worried that he might make a grab for the watches.

Geert had a TT Daytona with Champagne dial.

Natham had a white dial Explorer(42mm) not on the table.

Thank you for identifying everybody Wes! Didn't know Matt was Chris's brother (though I did notice they looked alike).

Worst thing is, they had so much potential for that one! It had an awful lot of things to make it a masterpiece and yet they decided to turn it into a real joke...

If you want my advice I enjoyed the humor in the first two ones but when you aren't sure if you are watching a superhero movie or a parody you are clearly making a lot of mistakes whilst writing a script...

That one was pretty forgettable for me. Big fan of superhero films, can make for great cinema. But too many films especially of late seem intent to rely on CGI to blow up as many things as they can, rather than concentrate on story.

btw really loved the latest Wolverine film. Was set in Japan, have to visit there one day.

I haven't watched any of the X-Men related movies yet, I wasn't into those in my youth but would like to watch them!

I hear you about the "lot of action and explosions, weak story without any sense" thing, that kind of took me off superhero movies a little while ago (though I must admit I hadn't watch a lot of movies besides the Batman ones and Schumacher did help a lot with its joke starring Clooney...). Since Nolan started to get into those types of pictures I found that they were much more interesting, you get much more of a story and especially the one about the origins of the superhero (something we tend to forget a bit too often in my humble opinion).

I like some action as much as the other guy but the storyline and the psychological aspect of a movie really makes the difference between a "kaboom" movie and a very good one, that's why (although it was a great picture) I preferred Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises to The Dark Knight, there was something special in those two movies that made them less of a classic Batman than the second one. That's also why I want to watch The Man Of Steel and the Wolverine ones (from what I've heard they're pretty good but I guess it always remains a matter of tastes).

By the way, rumor has it that they want to make a sequel to that one and that Bale was approached to play Bruce Wayne in it...let's see how that will go!

Can't beleive you've not seen the first Xmen. I know there was the original superman and batman films, but really think it was this film that spawned the reemergence of superhero films and influenced everything afterwards.

Ok enough geek talk before we send all the coffeeshop to sleep.

I'll watch it and let you know how I liked it, perhaps the fact that I know nothing about them will make it more interesting.

...I mean, what's X-Men and Batman? I don't know anything about that geeky stuff! Talk to me about modified cars, protein shakes and heavyweight wrestlers!

Thanks for posting the GTG pic, Wes. I always love to see piccies of my Wes! (and the other guys, too!) Or is that Lord Patootie the Most Handsome? I forget.

So funny about the guy tossing in his watch. A WIS in the making? Has he registered at TRF yet? What kind of watch did he have?
