First I want to say that I actually wanted NY to win since I am a Cub fan and like Rizzo.

As for Soto, I have watched the Yankees buy top free agents for almost 50 years so if the Dodgers get him, I would find it hilarious.

That 5th innings in game 5 will go down in history as one of the most inglorious displays of World Series baseball in Yankees history.

Start of Innings 5 - Yankees are up 5-0

Judge's drop of a basic (easiest) catch
Volpe throwing Jazz a dirt skipper from 10 feet away
Rizzo & Cole mix up on covering 1st

End of Innings 5 - Yankees & Dodgers 5-5

What a gut punch, I felt it, I'm sure the Yankees did too.

But that’s all would-a, should-a. The Dodgers won.
All good points. The Dodgers won because they hit in key moments….you have to take advantage of your opportunities.

Don't forget their young ace later throwing to 1st base three times and getting a balk because of it. Massive mental lapse, massive lack of communication between the catcher and pitcher. They need to work on their teamwork. They need to lower their egos and work together to function like a team out there on the field. If they don't, they don't win it all. They'll go down as having the best Yankees team in 20 years and not having anything to show for it.

best part is in the 4th when it was 5-0 yankees fans were starting to say we should consider sitting Cole so he could pitch in a possible game 7 lol

Soto to the Mets - See Ya Kiddo

One thing I will say is I respect the Yankee's front office for having some respect for there captains.

Kid wanted a free suite and they said sorry Jeter & Judge pay for there suites we will give you the same rate they pay but will not give you a free suite as its not right to them.

Good For You Hal/Cash - Some backbone!

To be honest I think Soto is an amazing hitter and a true game changer. I don't think the Yankee's would have made the WS without him BUT I do not think he's worth the money he was paid so God Bless him and I hope he proves me wrong but if it was my $$ I dont see the value for him.

As for Boone... WHY... WHY... WHY... are you stil here????????????

Speaking of players from the thread title leaving (or in this case very likely to leave) the Yankees, I hope Verdugo gets a big, long contract somewhere. I’ve always liked watching him hit, cool style, and he plays hard too. Not that I saw many Yankees games this year though… Kind of a shame he probably won’t make up an outfield again with Bellinger.
