My husband is an anesthesiologist. If he comes "dragging his ass in" it is because he's been taking care of his patients and hasn't slept in 24 hours. Yet he is expected to perform at 100% so he doesn't get sued and lose everything he has worked for.

Hi, I owned several sports fan store, I sell NFL,NBA,MLB, NCAA jerseys, jackets, novelties, caps, memorabilia, etc. I wear my Rolexes to work and enjoy every moment.

Pretty much the same story except I am a design draftsman. I have been at my company for 17-1/2 years (23 y/o then, 40 y/o now) and I am always amazed at the attitude my co-workers display when I have mentioned my interest in owning a Rolex and learning more about mechanical automatic watches. From comments about not wasting the $$$ even if they won the lottery to dismissing the idea of owning a Rolex as foolish. When I speak about the machine within they just don't get it. The new VP of sales has a TT GMT II that he recieved as a gift at a previous job. He doesn't regard it as anything special in fact he disregards it as being an inaccurate piece of jewelry and not a "timepiece".
I need a new job and a better group of co-workers.

Electrical engineer, currently operations manager in a large manufacturing plant. No we do not make dangerous toys or fake rolex watches. Seen many very good quality fake rolex watches, very difficult to spot without a detailed inspection. Wear my TOG to work everyday. Used to wear an oysterdate that belonged to my Dad. Wife's a financial analyst and she wears a midsize ss/plat yachtmaster.

I work in an office and I am the underling. The overlords wear cheap, plastic digitals. Personally, I don't seek out the opinions or reactions to my watch from anyone in the office for several reasons:

1. 99% of the folks in my office have no clue, and
2. I don't care.

My story pretty much mirrors yours. I support my Rolex habit with my 'other' job...

Paramedic, specifically a Mobile Intensive Care Unit Paramedic (MICU) We don't work out of the traditional ambulance, instead we work out of specially designed vehicles that transport 2 paramedics, and LOTS of equiptment. we are pretty much trained for everything imaginable, but specialize in cardiac emergencies, as well as traumatic emergencies, we work in conjunction with local ambulance services who provide the transportation. I was also assigned to the county SWAT team in the capacity of tactical paramedic from 1996-1999, left due to time obligations, not enough time with my children! I wore my Sub a couple times to work, but have since decided it would be reserved for my days off, we end up in alot of rough places and I would HATE to have it banged up THAT way!

I'm a cop, too. Our department is pretty odd. About half of our department is into watches. The other half is the G-Shock crowd. About half of us that are into watches wear Rolex and the other half are Omegas with a few Tags & Seiko Militarys thrown in. There's a lot of Rolex flipping at work ... especially now that the new GMT II is out.

By the way ... once you make the SWAT team, there is a lot of Rolex pressure! Only one old-school Omega fan has yet to convert ... and I just heard a rumor last week that he bought a new Planet Ocean. Oh, well.

Canadian Army Officer for the past 22 years and still love going to work everyday. Wear my Rolex SD to work quite often and a lot of people in my Battalion know that I'm a watch nut, so they bug me about it on a regular basis, asking me (in good humour) if it's real.

its b/c theyve been asleep in the back room.

i see many, not all, anesthesiologist drag their asses in the ER. demanding this and that without properly introducing themselves as who they are. some forget that theyre in the ER, not the OR. big difference.

believe me, when we can do without them. we do. just in those off the wall cases where we need one, we'll still have to wait awhile for them to arrive...asses dragging.
