White. The black bezel makes the black dial lost.
On a side note, however, the black 116520 looks much more classy and elegant than the new version. and the white 116520 looks a bit washed out. |

I just might go both. White on the new one and pick up the ol' steel bezel in black.
OMG, two watches without a date complication? I don't hardly recognize myself anymore!

Totally agree. I initially voted white but now I'm thinking black after seeing more detailed images. Both are equally stunning though.

I thought white at first, but real life pictures of the black one makes me believe black is a better choice.

This is definitely my favorite white dialed Daytona. In terms of black dials, the 16520 easily takes the cake there

The white one is better because it provides more contrast between black subdials/bezel and white dial.

White but I suspect many will wind up with both eventually.

Without yet seeing them in person, I think the BLACK looks COOLER, but the WHITE is much more UNIQUE. From a distance, the black will profile more like the Sub or GMT ceramics. The white face is unmistakable.

Both, but white first. I dunno if I'll flip my current white Daytona, though. I'm fond of it.

those who have seen this live, between the black and white, which one appears less blingy? Thanks!
Putting together the threads and the poll, it appears that those who prefer the old classic are much more likely to post, followed by those who prefer black. Perhaps one's propensity to post reflects the strength of his opinion. Last edited by tunadubby; 19 March 2016 at 11:56 PM.. Reason: Grammer |

I have a SS Daytona Black Face and I couldn't decide which Daytona C (black or white?) looks better. So I thought a would ask some female opinion on this. I asked 4 females: less than 10 years old, in the 20s, 30s and 40s. All of them answered the Ceramic with black dial is nicer.

I voted white and monochrome blog has some really good pictures of the while dial. Pics on blog to watch are very flattering to the black, on the other hand. Let's redo this poll once we can see them in the metal too along with wristshots by new owners.

Seems like a lot of us initially voted white and are leaning toward black after seeing some wrist shots.

Both are stunning, but I'd go for the white for myself.

White but I'm not loving the fat bezel. I have Zenith to compliment the White dial ceramic.

I'll say this...if the black came with white sundials the white could kiss my...but it doesn't.

Yes agreed. If you want it to be unmistakenly a Daytona Ceramic from afar (there's nothing wrong in that), the white dial is the one to go. But the black dial is so cool when its near on your wrist. Decision, decisions.
