The in person pictures look much better. I am still not a buyer for these, but possibly look forward to a larger Nautilus line.
Nice to see some honesty

I'd like to say that I always try to express my feelings and thoughts despite being in favor or not.

I'm still not a buyer, but would love to try the 5711 on.

My only reservation is I would prefer it if it didn't have a date window.

Honestly don't notice the text I the dial at all.

I have always been tempted by the 5711/1P from the introduction

With the 5976, I think it is still a great watch and not too large for most people. Even at a 6.5" wrist, I think the 5976 is still wearable, just like the 5524.

The 5711 looks more elegant and the 5976 more sporty (or sportier, not sure what the correct term is, haha). But they are both great watches for the Anniversary IMO and will sell out fully.

Great observation. When we were at the Geneva factory being able to look at all current models, I took these two pictures. With the bright display lights hitting the watch, I was expecting to see the text overpowering the beautiful dial. The text is subtle.

Beautiful!

In the flesh these pieces are really impressing - even some of the biggest and most verbal doubters have completely changed their minds.

Nice pics, Dave, and the date font looks kind of funky.

I appreciate your sharing the photos, Racerdj! I took photos as well, but was hesitant in posting them here as I didn't know if the Patek insiders would mind. Obviously Patek insiders and many ADs read these forums regularly.

I was given the green light. None of my photos were taken in any areas where pictures were not allowed. I am starting a thread, approved by George, about our trip! Please add as I am not a great photographer.

Great pictures Dave, even IF you're not a photog

Will we be seeing one of these beauties on your wrist sometime soon?

Dave great shots of the 40th.. That 5711P looks awesome and feel a few people who hated these pieces will change their minds about them when they see them in person..

Sounds good I will be happy to add to your photo thread when you start one.

Here is a photo of the 2 Anniversary watches side by side which may be helpful to compare case size. The photo is rotated but you can still get an idea of the proportions.

You're right, given the depth difference it doesn't look that much bigger, very wearable.

Sure since the 5976 is way behind the 5711 it seems smaller than it is.
I find them nicer than initially thought, but can't stand diamonds, even if
They are as discreet as humanly possible, just not for me, without them I would find it really nice, the 5711 that is...

As I said on another thread. Diamonds I think are better on ladies watches, I don't like chronos and indifferent to the Nautilus range but this is growing on me!!

After seeing my wife's new watch a bakers dozen is the perfect number of diamonds for me!

Some lovely pictures now being posted by people who are actually seeing and wearing them in the flesh. Stunning!
These were posted by Kari elsewhere and I couldn't resist reposting.
