I've had mine for 6 months and it still looks great. Some minor scratches but nothing major. Even if I had scratches who cares, this watch begs to be worn.

But not wearing a watch because you're afraid of scratching it is asinine, IMO. They're just things. And things are meant to be used. The more I use it, the more value I'm getting out of it.

While I'm not going to go out of my way to beat the shit out of my watch, with a lot of things I own, I'm glad that a lot of these things have battle scars and wear & tear. It means I'm not being obsessively obnoxious about its condition, and actually getting utility out of it, along with making it mine.

I'm far more impressed by a weathered, worn, clearly loved watch than I am a brand new shiny one.
Thanks for the details. I remember fretting over my first significant scratch on my DJ41 on the clasp. But with daily use, as the scratches evenly filled in, it's got a nice worn look to it. I haven't gotten to see the CHNR in person yet, nor have I read on whether the Everose gold is stronger than plain old gold, so I was curious.

Thanks for the reply. I think part of me was worried about the Everose being made of gold and thus being more susceptible to worse damage. It's one of the reasons why I didn't get the fluted white gold bezel with my DJ41, because I thought I would dent it all over.

I agree. I think when you factor in the usefulness of its date, GMT complication, and versatility, this seriously could be an only watch.

Put it on brown leather to tone it down and bring out the brown hues...
Black rubber on vacation for the incognito look
I'm also thinking about trying to find a black leather/chocolate stitching for it.

Has anyone else tried out any straps? I know it sounds sacrilegious given the astute beauty of the everose bracelet, but I feel like this watch has tons of personalities!

Such a beautiful watch ... thank you all for some stunning pics!

My little brother says “hello!”

Question for all: I think this watch with a RG two tone jubilee would be OFF THE CHARTS GORGEOUS! What’s your opinion?

I have seen the Batgirl in the wild and i consider it a Horrible watch saw one in the wild it's looks hideous on a bloke.

The CHNR is a work of art
THAT thing is a girled out piece of jewellery...no wonder it's called the Batgirl
I would not wear one of those if it was free..

The Batman was fabulous...the TT bracelet will not help your watch..it's a lost cause ..I am sorry to say

That's my opinion of your watch ...you asked ...

I have seen the rootbeer in person and pics does not do it justice. I want one and will eventually get one. Im convinced that while most/many are chasing the BLNR and BLRO, this little brown beauty is slipping by quietly, and 5 years from now we will all be saying "damn, why didn't I get one?" I really hope I get lucky at or near msrp eventually for this beauty.

My question was whether the CHNR crowd would be receptive of a two tone (RG) jubilee version of the CHNR ... not a question about the Batman on jubilee. I guess you feel same about the Pepsi on jubilee — or possibly any Rolex on jubilee (that it becomes jewelry)?

To each his own. I love the jubilee bracelet (I have a DJ41 with one coming too).

But you are correct - the jubilee makes it much more flashy. I have my ND Sub for “under the radar” sport needs and my BLNR II to make a statement. It’s aimed to garner the attention of the fairer sex and not blokes like you

You said you wouldn’t want it even if it was free. Too bad for you. I did not receive mine for free ... I am actually being “paid” to have mine. How is this? Unexpectedly, I was offered this watch at MSRP ($9,800 including sales tax).

I could flip it right now for $16,500-$17,000. Or I could wear it for a year or more and flip it for $14,500-$15,000. I am literally being given money for owning this piece ... thank you very much Rolex

What a ridiculous comment. This is clearly someone who is so insecure in his gender that the very thought of wearing something which may be in his opinion slightly “girly” or “jewellery” fills him with such dread and fear that he lashes out with derogatory comments in an effort to appease his gender anxiety.

Guess what, it’s 2019 not 1920 and men no longer wear flat caps and suits whilst their wives are not allowed out the house. It is perfectly acceptable for men to wear something which may not live up to your outdated and laughable opinions of what masculinity is.

It takes a real man to wear something which others may seem “girled out”.

P.s- the only people calling it Batgirl are uninformed populist numpteys.

Just got mine, this is my 3rd Rolex (I also have a Z-blue Milgauss and a GMT 116710LN). The CHNR looks amazing. My best friend, on travel, found it for me in a dealer, I am very lucky as I have been in the list at my local dealer for about 3 months now and no luck.

Guys, I have a CHNR two tone as well (sorry no picture) something has been playing on my mind. I have two stainless steel Batman and SD43 plus 2 PMs day date YG and SkyD White gold. So this is my first TT. Does it give the impression that the wearer ideally wanted full gold version but could not afford it? A bit like one might think that if someone is driving a Porsche Boxster vs 911

I always felt when I wore mine it gave the impression that I like the watch. I’m not to concerned wether other people’s opinions.

The TT has its own look. I have never liked any other TT offerings but there is something about the CHNR that I love. It’s an amazing watch.

Both full RG and TT are different enough I say just get both. Then you'll never be self-conscious or feel judged when you sport the gorgeous TT.

The interplay of the steel and rose gold on this reference just pops and is sublime. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

In some lighting situations, the RG almost blends in with the SS.

Completely agree. It’s a terrible looking watch in person - I have the original oyster version and they look like two completely different watches - it really is a strange phenomenon

To get nicely in the middle of this. RG was simply stating his opinion, not bashing any one, yet you deemed it appropriate to critique his opinions, and actually call into question his masculinity. It seems to me that perhaps you are the one who is feeling threatened or insecure about your own choices simply because someone else has a differing opinion? All this talk about ‘real men’; really man?
