Thanks! To all, including you for all the well wishes on this new watch. Commenting on your post. While the dial looks more like a space rock, it’s actually a slice of galactic steel - the kind we can not replicate on earth. We can make steel, but when this one (and many before it) fell to earth, man did not know how to make steel (mixture of iron and nickel and other elements, making it harder and easier to work while making it stronger and hold edges better). The 4.5 billion year old Gibeon meteorite has a very high concentration on nickel, making its extremely slow cooling process over hundreds of millions of years form more stable, striking and unique Widmanstätten patterns, which when exposed to acid and then locked in place with Rolexes proprietary finishing process create these masterpieces. Rolex only has so much left - who knows how much, but it’s finite and we can’t make any more. Plus all other recovered Gibeon meteorite fragments are now protected. Finally tried this on - at airport in decent light. The iPhone cannot pick up the dial subtleties like the human eye, but at least these pics are better than those under AD store lighting.

Wow congrats! Excellent slice of meteorite too! Not all created equal obviously; yours has some really cool striations through the dial
