Sounds interesting, Lisa. I'm bad about that sort of thing too. We have amazing museums here and admittedly, I've only visited a couple of them.

It sounds like a spectacular show, Lisa. You could be devilish and go twice, once just for you. I can't get enough of that stuff and know quite a lot about it...let me now wax boring again...

Just got back a bit ago. Phoebe and June did like it pretty well. Phoebe got to see paintings of the archangels Gabriel and Michael, the characters of whom are portrayed in the TV show "Supernatural" that she's currently gaga for. It was pretty impressive to see the actual work of Botticelli before my very eyes, but I got in trouble for standing too close - I didn't know I wasn't supposed to, and I was fascinated by the brush strokes!

Explored the rest of the museum and saw a fantastic exhibit of glass artist Dale Chihuly's works. That was my favorite thing...

I think museums serve to remind us to slow down and take things in... hard to do with a young family. Might be why we were about the only people there with kids in tow.

Hi Judy, have an air 11" and love it. The 15" looks like a cinema to me. Remember you can zoom in or change display resolution to bigger.

Doubt I'll ever go back to windows now. Yep no viruses, browsing the internet is so intuitive with the touchpad. Much better than an ipad. Had my macbook for about 2 years now and is still running top notch. Dropped it many times. Feel SSD is a must, quicker and more robust.

Just come back from the west of Ireland, me and my dad took a big van to go and pick up some of their furniture. Gruelling journey, and loading up, not really a break/holiday.

And guess who put a huge dent in the hire van(brand new Merc) After about 16 hours on the road, and in pitch black, pulling the van round the back of the house(from the right) it's a tight corner. I'm watching the brick wall of the house on my right, and a small garden wall on front left. And then the house roof corner overhang puts about a 3-4ft dent into the top side. How was I supposed to know to watch the roof. If the van had been a few inches shorter or the roof few inches higher it wouldn't of happened.

Lisa, glad the Museum expedition worked out for all of you. :-) Sounds pretty exclusive if only 6 museums were able to host it in NA. Sweet you got to go. And the girls too.. Just remind them with pictures and they wont forget.

Dawna... you just so casually slipped that in there you got a new watch! Which one??? Thanks for the summary post. Very concise.

Wes..you have an 11"?! Is way too small, even if I can blow up the font size. If I want to watch a movie or a tv show I watch it on the 47" tv. This is a home based desktop replacement so primarily will stay at home. I heard about the virus protection on them. Is a plus.

Karis, Im really having a hard time with my eyes. Im not sure if its computer strain or if I have cataracts or something. I need to make an appt. to go get them checked. I just saw the doc a year ago but I know something has changed. If I could find the Mac in a 17" I would be tempted. LOL But 15 is a great size overall I think. Pricey as he** but the right size for me.

Wes, sorry to hear about the dent. I guess they might be used to that if its a rental vehicle. Gorgeous scenery. Where is the house?

My Maui Jims are called Punchbowl. I don't have a pic of me in them. LOL

Dad bought a house near Shannon about 25years ago.

My mum is Irish. Their plan was to retire there, but after spending 2 years there they wanted to return and move back here. They still have the house empty, Ireland's housing market has gone through the floor.

So yesterday I got 6 requests for a stupid game on Facebook so I deleted my account, the spam and 'share everything that makes no sense whatsoever' just makes me angry.

Glad I deleted it.

I wouldn't know how to do any of that if it hit me on the head, it's amazing that I can do what I do do on the computer.

I was telling my brother that I was seriously considering the Mac and he said "its overkill for you and what you do on the computer". He didn't say it in a nasty way but I was still like..give me back your watches. And Im leaving the Rolex to your son. He's right, I wouldn't use it for what its made for. But I want it for its resolution and extra magnification properties. I told him, if I buy a computer for $800 & I cant see it, isn't it $800 too expensive? I might as well keep the one I have and put a big magnifier sheet on it.

In a way he's right, but on the other hand it's a decent investment, probably a machine you would have for 5 years plus.

Apple is expensive but has the latest up-to date tech. If you spec up an equivalent windows laptop it will cost roughly the same. So in a few years it will still be up for the job. And it's made of aluminium, and the OS is better.

I'm probably going to get some hate from people because I removed Facebook, some of my friends can't live 5 minutes without it...

Quite some classmates asked me if I had twitter or this app called 'whatsapp' so they could keep in touch with me and I always tell them that I see them 8 hours a day five days a week and they can just text message me if there is something important, I just don't want to chat with them all day long, and they tell me I'm from the stone age.

I couldn't care less about most things posted on Facebook or Twitter, and I can't imagine how people are on this for hours and hours per day.
I use my mobile phone twice a day, to check TRF and my e-mail, that explains why my battery lasts for a week

I think Bas is just mad because he has a hard time pulling off a good duck face while taking a picture of his reflexion in his bathroom mirror with his iPhone...
