First time I see anyone who bought this watch. The gold watches in general are more rare and the ones that buy gold more commonly go for 4500v or the Perp Calendar. I think it rocks, I have the reverse panda chrono myself! Is there an option to get it on the gold bracelet?

I don’t buy watches to sell but I also would like my watches to maintain it’s value. What are your thoughts on the pink gold Chrono 5500v down the line? Like someone had said, you don’t see much (if any) of this version on the market. I know it’s not the hot 4500v that everyone wants. It was a huge purchase for me so would like some feedbacks. Thanks

I just find this detail regrettable! Outsource it in France, as can other components be? It remains a Swiss manufacture, a Swiss watch, which should provide a living for subcontractors from the country and if possible make house above all. We pay dearly for these watches to deserve the maximum in this sense. We are sold home-made, but in fact it's made abroad. It is supposedly an artisanal manufacture, high watchmaking, not a factory with maximum profitability. It is not to tarnish VC, it is just a detail that personally saddens me ... CEO Bennhamias of AP said in his speech at the Golden Needle 2020, it is important for watchmaking to support and work suppliers and it's a shame to go overseas to save 50 dollars on a part ! A better philosophy. I think he is absolutely right.

 | Quote: They do share a border so yeah outsourced if you wish to call it but as mentioned before you have a ton of French worker that work in Switzerland and commute from France to go work for these big brands so while sitting on their rear in Switzerland the person building your watch could or could not be Swiss. somehow having the bracelet made on the other side of the border, a stone through away (literally ) is a big deal ? for all you know Richemont owns the place that makes the bracelet in France ? At least they are honest nuf (or obligated to?) to put made in France on the bracelet . |

 | Quote: Compete rubbish the main part of of the watch is swiss made. The straps etc are accessories. Do you also want to complain becuase the outerbox is made in Thailand? The France made braclets have nothing to do with cost saving. It's more to do with production capacity during covid. VC has used a French manufacturer for leather straps before. They also have loads of watch makers who originally where born in France. Why would they turn away talent? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

fyi: Canton of Geneva is French speaking canton of Switzerland. Rolex, Patek, AP, Vacheron, so forth are located in French speaking areas of Switzerland. Not a big deal if something is made in the France or in EU :) In regards to people I have no comments. Our character/humanity define us, not ethnicity or citizenship. Lastly enjoy the watches :)

I got it the first go around thank you . You may want to relax a little bit , I think you are taking this rather too seriously . Swiss made still means what 60% of the cost blah blah so the movement work is done in Switzerland the case is as well and yes the bracelet is made in France, either accept it or move on . Is it the quality that you expected yes or no ? and if made in France bugs you soooo very much and you think Swiss made is the bees knees then I hate to break it to you but many many many Swiss manufacturers have parts cases bracelets made somewhere else than Switzerland.

More interesting would be if there are slight differences in the look and feel of the bracelets produced in different factories..

My 4500v bracelet says made in france. Doesn't bother me one bit. I don't know all the context for why it is made in France, but i can see it is beautifully made nonetheless. If it bothers Toproll85, so be it, no need for others to get all hot and bothered by that! |

The Swiss one makes me feel intellectual The French makes me feel argumentative All jokes aside apart from the identification markings they feel and look the same. I'll view them under a macro lens this evening but so far I don't notice any difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got mine early 2020 and it only says Swiss Made on the clasp and nothing on the bracelet itself, other than a note that it is stainless steel. Gotta admit this post made me fish out the bracelet from my sock drawer to take a look. Mines on the rubber strap 95% of the time |

Took a look for fun for a data point for those who are tracking, 7900v here from 2021. Swiss made on the clasp, made in France on the bracelet. |

I have a mid/late 2021 bracelet and it has a Swiss clasp and nothing on the bracelet. I’m taking that to be a fully Swiss bracelet. It’s like more luck of the draw than a set rule from the sound of it. |
