Now hold on, you mean to tell me that you eat Fish N' Chips...and that you put vinegar on your chips as well!?

...Wes, my friend, you deserve another brofist!

Wes, vinegar? seriously? (I always ask for salt instead of vinegar when I'm in the UK)
Salt and mayonaise is the Belgian/French/Dutch way of serving frites.

Those chips look delectable, Wes. I must say, though - I've a soft spot for thin fries. We have a burger/frozen custard chain around here called "Freddy's" and their fries are the best I've ever had. Best way to eat them? A little of their seasoned salt. No ketchup. MMMMmmmmm.....

I thought I was already on your list. Yes fish and chips, traditional english food, especially down at the seaside. If I do any more brofists I will be in danger of putting my fist through the screen.

Yes vinegar, and a ton of salt also. Get those arteries clogged up. Yummy

Those do look nice. So thin chips are called fries here, but we prefer fatter chips, we need more stodge. I do hate those curly fries though, what's that all about?

Thanks, fellas. Yes, I think there is more water than land around here, and yes I see lots of wild life every day. Lots of eagles and gators but I never have a camera when I see them, but I'm sure soon I will.

GM all....

Well..I think my laptop should be delivered today. Then Im taking it right back to Best Buy and ordering it on Apple's website. They are offering student discount as well as a $100 app card. Best Buy wont match it. They say you get their "Geek Squad" service for a year. I laughed at customer service. I said Apple gives a year warranty, so when does this Geek Squad service take into effect a year from now? ..She wasn't pleased with me. I said, no problem. Your store will have one extra on its shelves when it comes in. Im not in a hurry and can order online without proving school enrollment and will be delivered by Sept. 6th. My gf who is technically still in school although she is articling right now, said to meet up with her at the mall and we would buy it and have dinner too. I called the Apple store and they said they needed a valid student ID and / Or enrollment letter. But online you don't need any of that.

Makes me want to submerge, Art. Beautiful.

TGIF all. Judy, hope you get all settled in with the Macbook. I went to Apple yesterday and was struck with how time-warpy it seemed. The employees all wearing blue shirts to match the blue screens above the Genius Bar, the pronounced vibe of nerd-cool...rather dated shtick. I was half waiting for Bill Hader and Andy Samberg to step onto the floor for a pitch-perfect SNL parody.

It got me thinking about where Apple really is at this moment.

My current job isn't great, now I'm hoping Ikea is going to respond soon.

J when I read your post I immediately thought of Clinique and the salespeople who wear the labcoats. Somehow you are supposed to believe they know chemistry.

Its comical to go to the Apple store with all those blue shirts. LOL

Bas, hope you get a job. Why not try applying to Apple?

Thanks, J. Looks good but this time of year the water temps are very high and that breeds brain eating bacteria. The city beaches on the lakes close this time of year. The bacteria enters the nose and your dead within a week. It's ok, I guess to water ski, the bacteria lives in the shallow warmer water. Every year this time there are a handful of usually high school age people who die from this.

I have a camera that takes better pics and can zoom in better. I didn't know about the zoom lens for the I phone but may look into it.

Naegleria Fowleri. When I was freelancing for my husband's medical school I was assigned to write a story about a young couple who lost their three year old daughter to this. They had taken her to an Oklahoma lake and she got water up her nose and was dead a week later. Just brutal. Never will forget that interview.... the dad swore it was his fault because he playfully dunked her in the water.

Yes, it's a very painful death and nearly always fatal. Even though the city puts up signs there are those who still do not heed the warnings. Very sad.

Wes, does this mean your watch collection is finished? Otherwise you'll need a bigger box. Or a second one.

Apparently there is 15 coats of lacquer on the wood. I'm thinking it might be a fire hazard.

I knew someone would mention about no room for more watches. Well one is always on my wrist or on my bedside table, so there is room maybe for 1 more. I started out swearing I'm only gonna buy 1 nice watch, and now have 3.

Not salt water, fresh water. The City closes the city run beaches on the lakes. But if people want to go in they don't stop them, they just put up warning signs. Then also it's all over the news to stay out the swamps and fresh water lakes, especially along the shore line where the water is warmer.
