Art.. ahh... I see. Sorry, didnt read slow enough.

Wes, you mention you have room for maybe 1 more and you never thought to have 3 nice watches. Have you thought about what direction your next watch will be? The writing is on the wall..

Do you guys/gals have your watch wardrobe lined up?

I have been sizing up my watch wardrobe as I call it for some time. This is where I think Im going with mine.. They have to have a date feature. I would go bonkers without it.

White Dial... DJ/Rolex/silver romans/jubillee/fluted -- check

Black Dial... Either..DJ/Rolex/white sticks/oyster/smooth....
OR...Breitling Galactic 36
OR Tudor/white sticks *** dont know style name..will post pic when I get home.

Blue Dial...Either D/Rolex/white sticks/oyster/smooth
OR Breitling Galactic 36
OR Tudor...same style exactly as the back version.

Pilot... Muhle Glashutte.. Terrasport 35mm

Diver...Omega Planet Ocean or Seamaster Pro.

Of course I have my 3 quartz watches too...Which I think I will try to sell. They are only 28mm.

Think I'll always lust over a Sub. Art has the perfect one 16610lv, although I would put a black bezel on it. He has promised to sell it to me at a ridiculous discount. Don't you remember Art.

And a classic JLC reverso. Dress watches are my fav. I need/like a date as well, but would sacrifice it for a Reverso.

Thanks Karis. What about the 36mm you've been thinking about? Or was it the pink dial swap on your DJ?

Wait is it becuase the green bezel will bring out my eye colour.

Gabriel at the GTG had a pepsi GMT, even had sourced a brand new/mint older style jubilee, never held one before

Hi All.. Here are the 2 Tudors I was talking about.. both are the same dial...1 blue, 1 black, both with diamond bezel. Ironically, I wish the watches didn't come with diamond bezel. They said the watches came this way only. Makes me think older stock.

I found a Tudor Mid-size sub in blue on the wild web...its 1985. I never wanted to get into vintage but the darn thing looks like a Rolex sub! Its blue.. so... I have a pic of that too...
I know is too soon for a new watch, and I agree...I just don't want to lose a great opportunity because size is more the issue for me...

I would buy a Samsung comp for either one of these watches..LOL

The Tudors are new..at an AD..and $4600.. the Tudor mid-sub is at a US location, is 1985, for $3000....

Ideas..thoughts..opinions???

Wow, I love those top two especially the blue dial. Tudor just started selling again in the US, we have a dealer in Orlando, can't wait to go check them out.

Art..I don't recall seeing them on the Tudor site. They may in fact just come with the diamonds Im not sure. I shudder to think how reasonable they would be with a smooth SS bezel instead of diamonds.

Check under Glamour. The web site is hard to figure out but I saw them there. I think.

You know it! The green bezel would look bee-yoot-ee-ful on you.

I do like the GMT - my favorite sports Rolex. Quite impressed with the new black/blue bezel, too. My husband has the "coke" bezel... shoot, they all look good.

Isn't that the truth! I'm quite fond of Tudor, by the way. I had a Tudor "Tiger" chronograph for a while but a guy who owned an antique shop I frequent wanted to buy it for his golfing buddy and he made me a screaming good deal. If/when Tudor comes to Oklahoma as my AD talks about, look out. There will be trouble. My husband and I really like the Black Bay.

Matching Black Bays would be fun. (or sharing one, even)

Well actually, salt doesn't clog up your arteries.
Salt attracts water meaning that it extracts water from your blood (osmosis) which will result in 'thicker' blood and can cause heart disease.

Bas, I am sorry to read you don't enjoy your job right now, have you considered applying at a jewelry store or an AD? Since you study watchmaking it could be an idea.

Wes, beautiful watch box indeed! Well done!

Judy, the Mini-Sub is my favorite of all three but otherwise that dark blue dial with the diamond bezel looks great, not as versatile as the black one perhaps but very classy.

Well as I've stated earlier I do not yet study watchmaking, I'm going to start that next schoolyear.

But that is a great suggestion, I'll keep it in mind for next year.

Thought some of you girls might be interested in this.

Dickey Chappelle. I've admired her work for some time, and her. Tough, brave, very smart and a good photographer.

Good memory, Wes! I've actually been thinking about a 114270 Explorer...haven't ever tried one on though. Am trying to find one to handle.

Gave up on my DJ....literally....have it at a local jeweler who is trying to sell it for me. At one point it was a keeper but something changed. I think it was the jubilee to be honest. I am an oyster girl at heart and have been spoiled by the Daytona. Stopped wearing my DJ a while ago and it became apparent it was time to let it go.

In all honesty, the Daytona could be my perfect piece, but I do still think about something else on oyster....an Explorer or maybe an AK, though I don't think I could pull off a 34mm.

But you love the romans. What about a white dial roman AK?

I always look at mum's AK and think that is the perfect size for a woman. In fact I want to wear it myself. Love that explorer as well.
