Lisa, cool glasses. I like them. The shape doesn't suit me cause I have a rounded face but I like the style. I have to wear more rectangular shape.

Bas..the weather here has been insane all summer. Greg..good luck at the Casino!

Yep..Im going on a vaca! Oct. 4th myself and 9 others are heading to Veradero for some sun, sand and lots of booze (since is all inclusive). My girlfriend and her husband got married there last year at Sandals. This year they wanted to go back for their anniversary. So..they said we should all go back. They didn't want to do a romantic trip "cause we live together and see each other every day we want to have fun with our friends". We're all around the same age so is good. The ONLY drawback, the resort is a couples only one and the only size beds they have is King. We have to share the bed. Which isn't a problem mind you, its big enough. But since I don't swing in that direction, the quazy lesbian thing doesn't work for me. My roommate Im sharing with this year had her eyes on one of the lifeguards last year. I wonder if Im going to be sleeping in the bathtub? Oh well, I can hang out at the bar. Sandals is a really nice resort and will be half occupancy which is perfect for getting prime beach location and service. Cuba has some really great beaches. Veradero is very white and soft. But a lot of older European/Russian men in Speedos. And the women can go topless but a lot of them really shouldn't do that. We met a lot of fun Londoners.

Found a pic of my Seamaster 28mm. I love that watch. Too bad the present style isn't like that. Miss my rings. Not the man, just the rings.

Very nice Seamaster, though I think the crown could be a bit smaller.

Saw this this morning at my shop,

raccoons, I could hear them in the attic. I can't believe they were this desperate to get in.

You guys are sssoooo lucky to get into Cuba ....I would love to go there to get Cigars, food, rum etc....but we cant.
I have to settle for Cancun or Cozumel in the past .....which is OK but I really really like Cuban cigars and coffee.....plus with the drug cartels now I wont go to Mexico.

Art, thats your roof? OMG...How did you get them out? Did you call animal control?
That pond looks very peaceful. I could easily sit there and have my morning coffee. :-) Or late evening glass of wine. ;-)

Greg.. Im just going for the R & R. bhahahahaa Sandals uses premium booze, not just the Cuban stuff. Should be a fun trip, just like last year. haha Canadians are still going to Mexico despite a lot of murders and the Canadian government advising us not to go. Ive been to Dominican (Punta Cana). Gorgeous location too.

Wes sounds like a fun weekend. Have fun!

Bas, yes, 100% they could have made the crown smaller. It digs in sometimes but is small enough its ok most of the time. The closest Omega has to that look is the Planet Ocean.

I like those! Love Oliver Peoples and also Warby Parker. There is a little shop in OKC that sells them...I was surprises because almost all their vendors are on either coast.

Shop Good? It's off of 9th and Broadway, near the railroad tracks. My daughter got a pair of Warby Parkers there, but for some reason she isn't wearing them. Kids her age can get weird about stuff like that... she says they fit strangely. They are sort of oversized, "hipster" style. She loved them in the shop and talked us into buying them....

As for these Oliver Peoples frames... they're called "Riley," and are inspired by the glasses Gregory Peck wore... think "To Kill a Mockingbird." I liked them because they come in small sizes - these are 43mm from temple to temple. I have a narrow face, and they don't stick out on either side. And the round shape is good for the blended bifocals... you get a larger area of magnification.

PS - slowly, slowly, Oklahoma City is getting cooler.

Art, dang those raccoons! They'd chewed giant holes in my mom's house, too. Destructive creatures. Not very nice, either. How will you get them out? Box traps?

Sigh,,,wish I could say the same for Houston....but its been close to 100 a few days ago...If your lucky it may cool off by mid Oct here.....In Phoenix the Monsoon ends about mid Sept and humidity drops back to under 10 percent.....
fog is something you never worry about in Tempe.
Im going to stay 2 nights in Sedona....it close to a mile high so should be in the upper 30's at night now.

Have fun this weekend Wes, I hope you'll have the time to take some pictures!

Judy, what will you bring me back from Cuba?

Art and Lisa, very nice glasses! Looks very nice indeed.

I don't mean that kind of cooler, Greg! It's actually been really hot this week - 95 and up every day, and expected to stay that way until next week.

I never saw such a thing. Over night. I knew there were quite a few around. I got some guys to take care of it and get them out of there. Then they'll fix the roof tomorrow.

We were going to stay at that same resort in June, but ended up going over to Williams a couple of days earlier than we had planned.

Yes, Shop Good! I haven't been there, I just saw a write up about them online.
OKC will be as cool as Tulsa and Austin one of these days.

I have a pair of OP sunglasses " farrell 62" silver with blue tint frames....OP's are great sunglasses but kinda pricey along with SALT sunglasses.
They are so high I only have one pair each.....Ray-bans I must have 5 pair of them....
since B&L sold off Ray-ban the quality has really dropped and they break in about a year....The old B&L's sell on ebay for 400 dollars or more.

I'm glad to know this problem has been solved but that sure is surprising, I can't believe raccoons are able to do such a thing...and so quickly at that!

Guys, I was surprised too. There are a dozen or so that hang out but they have never done any damage. There is a canal on the property and they hang out there and in the trees. I would say that's an 8in hole.

We have trapped several of them in box traps in our barn. They get in there and tear open the sacks of horse feed, dog food, anything edible. They make a huge mess. We turn them loose very far away from the house. I had no idea they would do something like eat a hole right through a roof, though! What was in there that they wanted? ?
