Anymore eggs yet from your chickens???

Do your girls like school and their teachers? And when does Violet start school or did she start this school year???

Take care.....Leo

I also enjoy coming here to the "Lady's, "Girls Coffeeshop Talk".....we have all become friends and enjoy each other's jokes and company. We can come here with a story, a problem or "Rant" on on just about any topic and get good answers and results. It's also fun because we have members spread all over this "Rock," we call earth, and have friends from all over the world.....who would of ever 'Thunk' this would even be possible 20 years ago!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

Hey, Leo. To answer your questions.... yes, Amy has faithfully laid an egg every day since her first one, and this morning I suspect Penny has laid her first, too. When I opened up their coop to let them out into the yard, there was a small egg in their nesting box that was already cold. It was a different shape and texture than the ones Amy had laid. I'm betting it was Penny, and that she laid it sometime during the night. We have five eggs so far.

I did, in 1993 I was doing computer science A Level and we were just learning about this thing callled the internet. A global system of interconnected computer networks that use the TCP/IP protocol.

I dreamt then that one day there would be a place on the internet where you can discuss timepieces and there would be a thread called the ladies teashop, where fine ladies frequent and they also allow select men. But also there would be a guy called Carl there, that's when I woke up in a cold sweat.

Got a small jewelry project for tomorrow guys! My mother gave me a chain that belonged to her late mother (she passed away about twelve years ago), since she was Egyptian (more or less) she had a lot of 18kt gold jewelry and that small chain was hers, it's not thick but it was way too long for my tastes (about 26-27 inches I believe, I prefer to have chains in the 18-20 inches range).

Basically I decided to cut a part of the chain off, I already put the clasp's loop back on what's left to the chain (about 20 inches, I compared it with another one I have) and tomorrow I will weld it to close it. The funny thing is, the chain was so long that the part I cut off is long enough to make a (very, very thin) bracelet, therefore my teacher gave me a small gold clasp and I will make one out of the links. I'll let you guys know how it went tomorrow!

Looking forward to seeing the results Carl. Went to Egypt a few years ago, seeing the pyramids and Egyptian museum was incredible.

Really cool John Mayer vid posted in the other forum if anyone missed it. Not really heard of this guy, or know much about his music in the UK, but cool to hear him talk about watches.

Thank you Wes, the chain is pretty plain and simple but I'm looking forward to working on jewels again.

As for Egypt, I'd love to go one day! My mother told me that gold over there is pretty cheap and I wouldn't hate to get myself a nice souvenir...

I've seen that video and was amazed by the passion he had for his watches, it's really refreshing to be able to talk to people at times about any kind of watches and just be able to enjoy them, no matter what's the brand (although he does have some pretty incredible timepieces there).

Carl, was just watching this Kanye West interview. I was noticing his chain around his neck and thinking maybe that's what Carl's chain is like. Then I'm noticing his bottom teeth glinting, apparently he's had his teeth removed and had diamonds implanted instead, it's not even one of those grill thingys. What is the world coming to.

Yep, that would be my chain...

So those are implanted diamonds right? I wonder what he uses to brush those teeth...

I must admit I've never been a big fan of Kanye West myself, I like quite a few hip hop artists (mostly the ones that started it, I was always more of an old school hip hop fan) but his songs don't do anything to me...

Wes, Thanx for sharing John Mayer's interview with us.....definitely a young man who is practical and with a good head on his shoulder's. And being a collector at heart...I could see collecting watches as another "Hobby" to add to my interests!!!

Welded the chain and did the small bracelet today, it went well for the first one but on the bracelet the result is not as nice and I would have liked it to be. Good news is, everything stays together and fits.

Thank you Lisa but I wouldn't get too excited, the more I look at the bracelet's loop the more I am devastated by it, I'm really disappointed by the result now...

I have no intention of selling it, in fact, the only reason why I made a bracelet out of it is because I found out I took so many links off the chain it would be worth it to wear them (with other bracelets, of course, as it's way too small). Still, I can't help but looking at it and being mad at myself.

Aw, too bad you're not happy with it, Carl. Can it be redone? And I'm guessing that you might be your worst critic!
