At first I was like "Belle Glos is worth mentioning?" Then I scrolled to the second pic, and thought "Ahhhhh, now that's definitely worth mentioning!" That's some top tier BDX goodness right there!

Afternoon snack!

I'm on vacation so this is a beach game, let's figure out what snacks the good Dr. has

Let's start with the cherries at the middle left
Then strawberries
Then there's either tortilla chips or pita chips, very tuff call here...they are thicker then I'm use to seeing on tortilla chips.. but the color is and texture looks like tortilla
, I'm going tortilla chip. Nope I'm going pita chip instead !

I forget the name of the cheese with the rind there, it has a smokey flavor? next to pepper sausage and of course butterfly crackers, Baked Brie ?? With pecans on top ?? Then I think the last dish is possibly hummus cause it has an oil on the bottom which would be from the hummus since it's made with it so possibly so olive oil

And seating for 6 people

I used the haptic BIOS coordinates on a program through my iPad, then I can input the picture minus anything outside circular part of the table then input again the mobile SDRAM transistor!

And Shazam, there you have it ! It's not 100% right all the time but close, of course it could be 5 peeps cause someone didn't show up but it could seat 6

Looking good!!

I tried Quilt some time back - I think it is a great buy (especially for the newer style Caymus lovers) as it has almost a 41-Esque style to it.

I found it to be REALLY sweet though. Not my favorite in a cab...

Very happy to finally get this mixed case of goodness home (been sitting in my friend's offsite storage on the East Coast for a couple years until now). Heading out to my offsite to lay these down for awhile!

Would any of these be making there way to PB's house in Tahoe? Too young for that trip perhaps, I assume you're going this year?

2014 EnRoute Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, "Brumaire"

Very Enjoyable and will buy again!

Tasting Notes

Complex stone fruits, pear, citrus and peach aromas unfold in the glass, slowly revealing additional floral and mineral notes. The entry is bright and juicy, giving way to an oily and coating midpalate full with flavors complementary to the characters on the nose. The vibrant natural acidity on the finish leaves the palate refreshed and eager for the next sip.

Vineyard Notes

EnRoute Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, “Brumaire” is named for the fog that gently envelops the vineyards in Russian River Valley, creating the perfect climate to nurture our fruit to ideal ripeness. A discrete group of select clones and growing areas combine to produce the “Brumaire” blend. The Wente clone benefits from the warmth of the northernmost vineyard along Westside Road and contributes an oily texture and tropical notes. The Rued clone, grown in the cool climate of Green Valley, brings beautiful perfume and floral notes to the wine. The Heritage clone provides notes of pear and citrus from a vineyard cultivated in the Goldridge sandy loam along Vine Hill Road in Sebastopol.

Tonight with a couple of friends, a great champagne and a couple of terrific Meursault followed by a really nice Italian red.

Great question. They were very different as the Vincent Latour was very young and the other a few years older. Also different areas. If I had to choose, I loved the Vincent Latour, but they were both delicious.

Vintage always wins IMHO! 2014 is about the best for young white Burgs ever, they are all just tremendous!

Nice Roger,
Washington is putting out really nice wine every year. If I'm in a pinch out if town I'll grab a Columbia Crest and surprised that more restaurants don't carry it.

Abosolutely! 14 Hands is a second label of Columbia Crest that is a great value priced wine.

Walla Walla and Horse Heaven Hills AVAs, as well as some of of the Columbia Valley AVA put out some great wines - both reds and whites - with Walla Walla being far above the rest. They make some spectacular merlot, syrah, and Bordeaux style blends.

Le Bernardin tonight wine included champagne to start (bottle lost), a Mersault from Roulot and a Chablis from Raveneau. Of course the Giacosa Barberesco was amazing.
