Nice shell boots. It’s hard to tell, but are those Vibergs?

So many options so little time. Really depends on how dressy or casual you desire, but you really need to define how much you wish too spend. Edward Green really has some fabulous options for casual as well as dress but so does Carmina for quite a bit less. Enzo Bonafe for a bit more than Carmina makes a real great looking boot, but so does Crockett and Jones, and Vass. For the same price range as Edward Green there’s always Gaziano and Girling.

Very nice, I always have liked the way their shell boots look.

Nice. Is color 4 common for Viberg? My understanding is that color 4 is like color 8, but with half of the pigment.
I’ve read that back in the day, color 4 was one of the standard colors from Horween, but that changed to color 8 at some point. Anyway, it’s a great color. |

Here are my Edward Green Galway boots in dark oak calf leather and mink suede. Last 82 in size UK8.
They are very comfortable to wear, look and feel more like a shoe, with the addition of some support and protection for the ankles. I alternate thro’ the week with my Crockett & Jones and Russell & Bromley shoes but I always look forward to when it’s the turn of these boots! |

![]() I think I'm pretty good at pronouncing words in different languages and have been complemented on a few occasions, but Dutch is really tough lol. Maybe the only Dutch thing I can say correctly is Die Antwoord (Well, Afrikaans, but close enough) and that's only because somebody from SA corrected my pronunciation! ![]() |

You'd have to try Dutch - English translation on the Google translate app to hear how it's pronounced.
I can't put it into text for you. ![]() |

Anybody have a pair of Alden CXL split toe boots? I’ve been eyeing a pair with the commando sole for winter. I’ve got a few in Shell but no cxl.

Yes.
We use 'het' as well though. 'het bord' --> the plate. 'Het eten' --> the food. Edit: I should have given an example for 'die'... Die tafel daar --> that table over there. |

Often considered getting that version. I always look forward to wearing my Galway’s and find the 82 Last extremely comfortable as well.
