Very nice, Art. Wonder if we can afford out of state tuition? We may need to bump up the college savings....

How could a snake be happy living in some guy's apartment, I always wonder. Then again, I bet the guy never has to worry about setting out rat traps. Or being asked to babysit.

What'd ya mean, the snake will be perfectly happy living in an apartment with a guy. They can play playstation together, there's no one to nag. The fridge would be stocked with mice, and he can bring back female snakes. Bliss.

I don't like to have to dig around searching for this thread. I got spoiled. :bang head:
LOL@ playstation with a snake. Isn't the new PS coming out in November? Wes, you might have to upgrade just like any good daddy would do. |

Ha, no kids here Judy. PS4 might be the first console I won't get, always used to play computer games, maybe I've finally grown up.

Of course, whenever faeces hit the fan you must blame it on the good looking, charming and intelligent guy...

Happy Halloween !
Just sitting here having coffee and reading the news. There's an article about a North Dakota woman who is handing out letters to children who are "moderately obese" because she thinks their parents are irresponsible for letting these kids go trick or treating for candy because "all the other kids are doing it". This woman is mental. Im not even going to be pc about this. Just plain mental and needs serious medication & therapy. She is one nasty adult bully. I think the smaller kids will never know about this letter (I hope the parents grab it while they go through the candy 1st) but maybe the older kids who can read or 8-10ish who will go through their stash will come across this letter. How sad their fun night will end like that. She isn't handing it to everyone, just the fat kids. She thinks she is doing the right thing. Whats next for her entitled attitude? She going to remove silverware from fat kids at restaurants? Anyway..just made me mad to read that. The one day a year they get to run around "like other kids". What a killjoy. Bia***. |

Yes a stick insect. We are sending out subliminal messages to the mods.
Yes they are smart, imagine if they tried to impersonate something else apart from a stick. Say a leaf or a giraffe, then they would really be in trouble. |

PS - almost certain the egg is a dud. Candled it and it looks like soup inside. Need to take it out of the incubator before it blows up or something! Blech. Oh well, it was worth a try.

I'm not sure....I changed my password because of all the scam stuff going on...it worked the evening I changed it....the next day it wouldn't work. I emailed the mods a couple of times with no response...finally after I locked myself out after 5 tries with the wrong password, I saw the link to have my user name and new password emailed to me and that's the story of how I made it back to the non stickied Coffeeshop.

Mornin' all, Happy Halloween to everyone...and it sure is too bad we are not at the "TOP" of the page anymore demotions always hurt.......
As for the picture of the guy with the snake...either he is brave/(or stupid)or it has been Photoshopped. As that snake is large enough to wrap around him and squeeze the stuffings out of him...as in DEAD!!! Judy, I agree with you...even tho a high percentage of children here in America are obese this is one day of the year to go out and have fun. We always looked forward to this day each year and would start Trick or Treating right after school and go till 9:30PM at nite. We didn't have a curfew/limited time to go out like the children today(the children in my town can only go Trick or Treating only between the hours of 4PM to 7PM)..... Being that my parents were into Health and Nutrition, we did not get to have very much candy growing up so we would spend any money we received such as our dime allowance on "Penny Candy"(at S. S. Kresge) or ride our bikes up to the 7-Eleven for nickel candy bars(we also were not allowed to have "Soda" or "Pop" and deserts after meals was maybe two cookies or a small bowl of ice cream). On Halloween most all of the candy we collected would end up going to the local Hospital for the children there...we were allowed to pick out about 15 pieces of candy to keep(and then we could have one piece a day for two weeks)and the rest was donated. So I came up with the idea of stashing an empty bag in our front yard bushes(out of sight of any windows), the day before Halloween, and then on Halloween we would grab that bag and go under a streetlight and pick out a bunch of the candy we liked the best and put it in the bag to stash in the bushes long before we went in for the nite. Also remember we received full-size candy bars instead of like today where most everyone including us give out those "Bite Size Candy Bars". But we do give each child at least two of these smaller bars and unfortunately where we live we do not get very many children coming by..... Also why is it that usually most every year on Halloween the weather is cold, windy and raining???

Hi all, just a quick post...I caught up on reading here for the past week and sent a quick note to the Mods, probably like a few of you as well, about making this thread a "Sticky" and Voila...we are again!!!

Happy Halloween everyone.....pouring here today and some flooding too....feel bad for all the kiddos wanting to venture out tonight.
Glad you made it back, D! I recently had some log in issues of my own, so I know how it feels to be out of the loop! |
