Hoping for more earthquakes tonight. They're harmless and very interesting to us Okies. We've had four in the past 24 hours that measured from 3.3 to 3.7 on the Richter Scale. I only noticed the strongest one. The experts are weighing in on why we've had such frequent activity in the past couple years. It's unusual for our area.
Yikes, that is so strange to me....not sure why. I've never been in one, thankfully. Always freaks me out when I hear about them... Be careful, Lisa.

Glad to hear the girls did so well!

No worries about our baby earthquakes here.... they are merely a novelty. Though it is kind of a mystery as to why we have them now when we didn't used to. It's the tornadoes we have to seriously bother about!

Wes, you drive a motorcycle, not a car, right?

I have or had both, sold my bike a few weeks ago, it was only gonna sit in the garage all winter. Maybe my biking days are over, who knows? But couldn't do without a car, even though I go to work on the underground.

Are you going to get a new watch with the proceeds?

Ha, prob not, already feel guilty having 3. Thinking a new car maybe in order, debating something sensible and economical or something more sporty.

Haha, well maybe if it was the 50's.

I've narrowed it down to 2 at the moment. Was looking at an Audi A3, sensible/practical 4 door hatchback. Economical engines. Good town runaround.

But then I thought, sod it you only live once and now have my heart set on a Porsche Cayman. Is it obnoxious? Is it mid life crisis? It would be a very expensive purchase for me. Why am I materialistic?

Think my dad had one of them. Shame, the car manufacturing industry in the UK has died a death.

I think the fuzzy dice would add a touch of whimsy as you drove around in the Porsche... how can anyone be thought of as materialistic or obnoxious when they have fuzzy dice hanging from the rear-view mirror?

Besides, aren't you a little young for a mid-life crisis?

Wow... that Audi's pretty, though.

(ps - another earthquake last night!)

I think it's because that Audi looks like it's been polished to within an inch of it's life. Mine wouldn't look like that. Have had 2 black cars before, they are a nightmare to keep clean and show scratches horribly. Thinking maybe a grey this time. Anyway have a month to think about until I get some money from my company share save scheme.

No! I would love to, but the show begins right when I'm getting the kids to bed - baths, stories, homework, etc. I can't ever watch TV that time of evening. Wish the show began at 10pm. I have, though, finished all of Season 8 on Netflix. I guess I'll have to wait until Netflix starts showing Season 9 - next year!

I understand. I have a black car now... it's always dirty, especially now that I park it under a carport and not in the garage.

Grey is quite nice. What color is the interior?

Funny how there's a chain around the steering wheel - someone might steal that thing?!

What's amazing is that a good restorer could make that car look showroom new again. I might give it a go with some touch-up paint.... think that would help?

Thanks for the pic!
that chain is hysterical… i guess its true what they say, 1 mans trash is another mans treasure?
interesting about the use of grill and taillights on the older body style.

It's prob black or grey. I wonder if I can get beige? Anyway would prob have to look for one a couple years old, not many about. First world problems eh?

Maybe I'll come to my senses in the meantime and pay off some of my mortgage instead.

Hmmm very spooky. There's not one of these guys on the loose, causing the tremors.

I was looking at prices of new cars in the UK and used a Vauxhall configurator for an Antara model which looks to be the same as the old Saturn VUE crossover in the States only with diesel engines. The shock was just for a mid-range model the end price with VAT was 26000 something pounds which converts to 41700 dollars for a SUV that sold in the states new for about 22k-24k .....almost double the price. No wonder most people never buy new cars there ......thats insane!
