Simply...The Wine Thread

This was a nice 1.5 liter of Beringer we had last night from 1995

Good, not fantastic but good

I had Dover Sole and this size wine was almost perfect for 3 men. Girls had Chardonnay, except one of them tried to sneak a glass of the Beringer lol

Very little sediment in this bottle and was decanted for about 30 minutes

The wine in South African is quite good, of the two 2008's in this photo we preferred The Mackenzi . I am putting a order together for a few cases of the various wines we really enjoyed on this trip.

Simply...The Wine Thread

Last night was family night minus the wife who is stuck in Brasil due to canceled flights to MIA.. Irma makes wife mad

Family in from New York and we had picked really nice wine at a 15.00 corkage charge

Sea bass very good

Romaine Flank Steak Salad. Excellent. Forgot pictures of appetizers but they were crab stuff shrimp, spicy meatballs

We had a Horizontal tasting, all 2012's I'm missing the bottle of Close Du Val Stags Leap Cabernet and Grgich Hill. So good they were.

Props to Trace for telling me to get a few case of the Clos Du Val, bottle price has double since I bought.

There's are always top picks

We're lucky to have affordable good wines here in the Middle Earth. You could actually drink up every single day and still save for your next Rolex

Simply...The Wine Thread

My wife really likes the 2012 Prisoner red blend. They are nowhere to be found. Thanks to Mark, Runnin' Rebel for trying to locate some.

I got 7 bottles of 2013 from K&L Wine Merchants. www.klwines.com They are a great resource if you are looking for wines.

Awesome wines for auction too: http://www.klwines.com/Auctions

Simply...The Wine Thread

Opening one of these this evening -- VERY small project made by Jason Moore -- who also makes Modus Wines -- this is a BIG, and BOLD yet seamless single vineyard Cabernet.

This project was designed to create a wine to 'hang around' with the Harlans and the Screaming Eagles...and I have to say -- it has never disappointed.

It's one that I've enjoyed slipping into some of our 'big' tastings -- to throw a curveball in there!!

Have some antipasti prepared and some prime filets for later!

2012 Gravitas
Total production - 40 cases

Cheers all!!!

This photo could be the standard for this thread: Showing a part of your watch and of course the wine itself. Nice photo! The wine logo is also well made.
