Just realized I didn't answer that question but I love it! Working in a jewelry store is really amazing and I really enjoy working and discovering different watches, clocks and problems everyday.

I'm sorry to read about your power supply and the pretty steep price of your echo, do you have insurance?

I'm glad you like your new job

Yep I've got health insurance, point is, I've got pretty much everything covered for a reasonable price of 140 euro's a month, in order to keep it at a low price I have a risc of €500,- per year meaning that if something that doesn't get covered (like this cardiac echo) happens I need to pay that. (unless it costs more than 500 euro's per year of course.)

I'm glad my power supply didn't fry the rest of my pc, that would have been a €1500,- bill... now it's only €100.

It's too bad your echo is not covered, at least the results were good if memory serves. As for the computer problem, you sure avoided a big problem.

I posted those on the forum already but since I told you about the bands I ordered, here they are (I received them yesterday).

The pictures are dark so I took some brighter ones for Cru Jones, who wanted to see the finish better.

...And the project!

The bands look nice, Carl. They lend themselves perfectly to your vintage timepieces. What kind are they? Are they alligator?

No, regular leather with an alligator and lizard grain.

Thank you Lisa.

Hi Bas, and the rest of the CS.

Really love that JLC Carl. How do you set the alarm and what does it sound like? Think a little vid might be in order.

That is pretty, Wes. I like that it has several slots for rings... many jewelry boxes don't have ring holders.

Yep I knew that. It has a nice cushion top left where she can keep her watch.

I cannot tell you how it sounds as there's still a small problem with the alarm function and I must correct it but I can tell you that I'm pretty sure it sounds more like a buzz than an actual ring as the hammer hits a small stem on the casebak.

Very lovely box, you have great tastes and I trust your mother will love it.

I spotted a steel Grande Reverso at work last night, such a beautiful watch.

How nice! A man came in my jewelry store the other day with this beauty on his wrist.

That is a beautiful watch, however I think it looks better on a strap.

I prefer the simpler models on bands as well but holding it and looking at it was really something. The dial is really beautiful.

Ideally I'd get a vintage one (or a TT 1931), although I must admit the full calendar or Sun Moon models have quite a little something...

The TT 1931 is stunning

I'd love to get the Reverso classique.

This one:

That one is very nice indeed, the Grande Reverso with the second subdial does look nice but there's something about a simple two hands watch...

Thought I'd try some sight reading. Not great. But anyway I hope everyone has a Merry little Christmas. Noticed a few absentees from the Coffeeshop lately, hope they are ok and come back soon.

Thank you, Wes! Lovely playing. I can't believe you can sight read that well. Okay, yes, I can believe it.

We're settling in to a nice week... kids are home from school all week and next, so we're enjoying some good family time.

Well it took a few takes as messed up, but guess that is still sight reading as takes a lot longer to memorise.

I have to work mon/tue but hopefully it will be very quiet, but then have a week off. I'd better go to Bedfordshire.

Thank you, I don't mind driving when it's dark (I do that about 6-7 months a year...) but if it's snowing and acting crazy outside it will take me a hell of a while...
