It's been probably 25 years since I've sat down and actually tried to draw anything beyond doodles.

Now this I like...I actually like it a lot!

Impressive work Lisa, well done.

I don't know if Im brave enough. LOL I don't think Im too shy about public exposure on a watch site..I might see if I can put em on photo bucket tomorrow.

Lisa that sketch is awesome. Did you draw that 25yrs ago? She looks like she's from the 80's. I give it a thumbs up because thats when Pat Benetar and the girls of rock looked like that.

I hope Phoebe gets in. I went to a general high school but 1/4 of the building was for Art, drawing, sketches, pottery, sculptures etc. Was a funky kind of high school.

Well, I for one hope you're feeling brave tomorrow. Would love to put a face to a name.

I did the drawing Friday evening. Didn't know if I'd still remember how but it sort of came back to me.

Thanks for the good wishes about Phoebe. The school where she's applying sounds sort of like your high school. Half of it is for arts students - vocal and instrumental music, visual art, dance, drama... and the other half is intensive academics. I wish she was a little more motivated to get her portfolio together, but she may surprise me this week before we have to turn in her application on Friday. She'd rather play her guitar or ukulele than draw, but since she doesn't read music or sing she can't apply as a music major. She's good at visual art but just doesn't really like to spend time with it.

I don't think I have any recent pic's? Yeah that girl (Kat) wants to marry my brother....he took my advice and told her he cant get married without prenuptials....then she backed off real fast...I wonder why? He got on a Steve McQueen kick on his two weeks off and bought a 08 Bullitt Mustang, no date Sub, had a brown tweed jacket made, got a blue turtleneck and some clarks brown desert boots...and some Persol sunglasses....I call him Steve Mc Junior now.

Funny... Steve McJunior. Well.... it's probably a good thing for your brother that the girl backed off. That didn't seem like a very savory situation.

Lisa, you are very talent. That drawing is very good.
Thank you all for thinking of me. Iam still young. Hehe. Will be around for years:)
Greg, good thing for youre brother, he is lucky. My father made the biiig mistake imho. He went out on the internet, found this russian h...re and he imported her to sweden. she ended up married my father. This happend 1 1/2 year ago. In jan 2013 my father got a stroke and he is now recovering from that. If something happends to him, she gets 1 big house in spain. A8 room penthouse in the capitol of sweden. One summer house 7 room beach house. And one 5 room beach house.where he lives in. A yacht and also our small airplane 4 seated. Not bad for a 40 year old russian with a son age 20. I guess my dad is lucky who found the biig love on the internet.i am not so happy about this and iam so stressed about this. Well, no wonder i got this damn heart attack. :) so Greg. It can be tricky for youre brother if he hangs around the internet :)

Thank you, Cecilia.

That's a stressful situation with your father. If I were in your shoes I might have had a heart attack, too! Have you tried to talk with him about it?

That happened to me (and brother) ...My father retired in 1981 from Conoco when Dupont bought them out and was an instant millionaire and he married this little Cajun lady that was 38 .....he was 58 at the time. He had cirrhosis of the liver and died in 82 .....they had only been married 9 months....she got everything and since he had no will....I got ZIP. She had a 12 year son I think.....Im sure they enjoyed all my and my brothers money.

I was so careful with my present wife after getting cleaned out by my first one that I waited over 9 years before I would say "I do" again......and he should do the same thing.

She and her son is laughing there as off all the way to the bank. I better stop thinking about it. My heart is skipping some beat right now. So Carl, hows school doing.

School is going well, I took some pictures and videos but said videos cannot be put on my computer...I must find a way to do that as it involves clocks!

I'm working on a grandfather's clock right now, that big beauty is quite complicated but so interesting!

Lisa, you who are every where finding all sorts of fun things in antik shops. If you ever come a cross china painting supplies as vials with paint or luster think of me. Iam taking up my china painting and are in need for old supplies The new ones are not as good as the old ones. The old ones contains lead and gold. They are hard to find these days.

Oh, Carl... wish you were here to look at our grandfather clock. It was handed down from my parents, and the clock company moved it here. It had not been serviced since it was bought in 1976. The clock guy took the movement back to his shop and cleaned/serviced it, reworked the bushings (I think? Does that even make sense?) and got it set up and running. THEN I was messing around with it, trying to turn off the chimes because they woke us up at night, and I messed it up... When I'd try to start the pendulum it would run for a few minutes and then stop.

I've been too embarrassed to call the clock guy to come look at it again. I broke it in, like, two days after he'd just spent a month fixing it.

I will keep an eye out, Cecilia. There is a place in Oklahoma City called the "World Organization of China Painters." I have no idea if it is really a world organization - if they're in OKC how worldly can they really be?

Would old lead or gold paint be any good after so many years? Or is it still being made?

The paint is powder and you mix it with a paint medium in to a past like paint. It cant get old. I have paint from the early 1900 and it works just fine. The old paint is no longer on the market. They only make lead free these days. And that paint isnt that nice as the old ones, here is a bowl i painted last week with old colors

That's not including the 300+ acre horse ranch he had bought in Mississippi and new Caddy and Ford Pickup and a Jeep....and the huge house that went along with it. If He had done like he was suppose to ( had a will made up) im sure my life would have turned out very differently than it did.
