Go to your local lodge a few minutes before or after a stated communication and for a petition to join the lodge. We CANNOT recruit or "invite" you to join, you have to ask to join.

I think my boss is a free mason. He's got to be the most outstanding person on all levels of character I've ever met in my life.

Congrats Bill, that’s a great chair to be in. I was SW after my time in the east, I did things sorta backwards!
I’m waiting for your post that you had to take the east, that can be a big surprise especially if you find out minutes before!

Not a mason, but found this 1820-1840 Wade & Butcher Masonic straight razor, over 150 years old, gives a magical shave.

I hear you Bill. I mentored a good friend and fellow officer on his path to the east and told him repeatedly to be ready when he was JW that it could happen on any meeting night. Guess what, first meeting in January both the WM and SW were unable to make the meeting and he had to step up. He must have thanked me 1000 times because I had him ready for the east. So.... be ready brother!

Sorry to bring up an old(ish) thread.

Could a freemason please tell me whether Rolex has made any 'official' freemason wristwatches? I'm not talking about one-offs that members may have commissioned.

I've done a search on TRF, to no avail and it's worthless searching Google for any information, as it's more than likely just hearsay, with no solid 'sources of reference'.

Thank you.

A huge congratulations Bill!

The night that I was installed as Master I gave all of my officers a challenge. I told them, in open lodge, that if every one of them attended each and every meeting that on St Johns Day at noon of the next year I would submerge myself completely in the creek that ran behind our Lodge.

You guessed it, yep, 34 degrees on that day I strode into the creek, busted away a body size hole in the ice and laid completely under the water. We had several EMT brothers on the creek bank just in case but all went well! I was very proud of my officers, they accepted my challenge and they prevailed!

I wish you a very prosperous year in the east my brother, congratulations again. I know that it wasn’t an easy road that you’ve traveled and I’m sure that you’re going to be a great Master!
