What do I drive? It depends.......

Most of the time a SAAB 9000 Turbo or a Mercedes 230.

During vacation, A John Deere - (it's a JCB) 1963, or a tractor Volvo BM230.

(The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. )

After looking at the envious Porsches, Ferraris, Vettes, Hummers, Mercedes, etc. I have decided I am a poor slob who cannot hope to be in such fine company. I have an 08 Lexus RX 400h which is a poor man's ride.

Being that it is blazing cold winter here in Northern Michigan, I cannot even get it clean enough to put a meager picture of it on the internet.

Thank-you for putting up with my humble, poor self.

What Do You Drive?

Not many replies from us Brits i notice.

Not quite in the same league as other gorgeous motors allready listed (i feel quite inadequate really!) but i love it nonetheless.

A plain old Vauvxhall Astra.

Nice car. My uncle bought a silver split window in the late 60's from the original owner. He moved to Florida and needed some money so he sold it to one of his best buddies who still has it to this day. With original paint

The split window is an icon indeed

Sadly, he only enjoys the car once a year. He takes it out for a few days on his birthday.

He owns his own business and has a garage that he can park it in every day if he wants to also. Alas, not even on the nicest days does he do this.

My Dad still has is 1964 327/365 Riv-red/black convertible that I ordered new and took delivery of in December, 1963. We did a body-on rebuild a few years back. Kept things as intact as possible, for heritage/vintage purposes, rather than bringing it up to Concourse quality, much like some people do here with Vintage Rolex.

It looks like a 73 911 or a 80sc with some mods.

Thanks, its a blast! I've added a roof rack, and have a winch in the garage and bumper on the way. Once the winch/bumper is installed I will try to get more pics!

Well, I did the first oil change in that spot, and like all new vehicles they had crank the fricken oil filter on with what must have been a 10 foot torque wrench set to 10,000 lbs. So I had to drive a screwdriver through it to get it off, causing lots of oil to go everywhere. Also, when I first pulled the drain plug I had trouble getting the pan lined up right because the plug is so high off the ground.

Long story short, no leak, just a very messy oil change not long before the pics were taken.
