its super hard to photograph. Both the bezel and the bracelet as the bracelet is super blingy and it reflects the yellowish indoor lights.

IRL it is 100X better than any pic can capture.

I much prefer the jubilee but it's very cool that the oyster fits on the BLRO, great thread!

I agree, it’s doesn’t seem to photograph well at least with my limited skills and iPhone ;) and in real life it’s an awesome watch.

i know its a bit more than a AP ROO bracelet. Its ironic because AP charges less for a bracelet for a 20k+ watch than Rolex does for a 8k watch.

Great thread, reminds me of the threads when the 5 digit LV was released, so many believed it wouldn't be possible to fit the green bezel insert on a standard sub, or to swap to black.

The normal 116710LN bracelet should fit as well, right? Since it’s exactly the same as the BLNR

Question now is, if someone buys the WG, are they going to present it as the hard to find SS piece???

I kinda like the jubilee on the BLNR and oyster on the BLRO...I believe if I had those two watches, that's the way I would wear them.

I've just tried the Glidelock 97200 on the BLRO using Daytona spring bars but it still won't fit. Only one end of the spring bar engages.

It's exactly the same bracelet so yes. I originally fitted the 116713LN to it and that was fine also.

I had the same issue putting glidelock onto my BLNR and just needed a smaller spring bar. Probably need to drop the spring bar size to 1.5 or 1.8 to get it to work. Thanks for trying!

What’s next? A steel Daytona with an ice blue dial and brown tachy scale and subdials?

At this point, I wouldn’t put it past them!

I feel the same. As a WG BLRO owner I can truly say I feel no negativity towards people buying the SS and adding an Oyster, heck I might do the same if I didn't have the WG!

But I can definitely say I feel pretty shabbily treated as a PM customer of Rolex. Sure they had no obligations towards me to make or not make a SS Pepsi, but this was obviously a change of direction put in place by the new CEO and one that left people like me wondering why I would give PM money to Rolex ever again. In fact, not even wondering... I just won't. That kind of money on a new watch is going to AP or PP at this point. They went to the trouble of ensuring the Pepsi bezel wouldn't fit onto the BLNR but didn't do the same for the bracelet. Just sloppy/uncaring really.

I think they do have an obligation based on a long-standing course of dealing. Perhaps not a contractual obligation, but an obligation nonetheless. They are going to lose a lot of good will IMO.

The skydweller is a similar situation, but this is worse, because the watches are completely indistinguishable, visually, when the steel version is on an oyster. In fact, the steel version actually has a better movement with the upgraded 70 hour power reserve.

So, in addition to having a watch that’s visually the same as the steel version (with no exclusivity that you’ve paid serious cash for when buying precious metal), you also have a world of watch collectors feeling bad for you (or worse, thinkinking you got snookered).

I’d sell the thing out of spite (maybe flooding the market will send a message) and get a Patek or AP.

Actually the WG was updated with a very dark blue dial which looks very slick, I’m surprised nobody mentions that.

I did. Another thing for previous WG owners to be furious about imo. They wanted Rolex GMT colour. Not $100 Seiko colour. Rolex GMT config is now reserved for SS only.
I'm sure the blue dial is nice but I cannot agree with how the SS release has been implemented. Bit of a shambles to be honest.

Rolex should of made the gmt SS with the WG new blue dial and left the WG with the black. I Just don't understand this .. WG made with the new blue dial and SS with the black dial same as the "older" WG gmt Pepsi .
