After seeing Close Encounters of the Third Kind in a theater when it opened in 1977 with a UFO of enormous size and advancement and benign nature apparently, it stuck with me a lot through the years.

Of course I believe other species are alive in the vast heavens and it's a fun and frightening exercise to image contact but it reminds me of what I sometimes feel sitting on the beach in Hawaii.

Sitting there in paradise and hearing the waves lapping on the shores I'm reminded of the history here that in 1778 Captain Cook apparently was the first European to come in contact with the Islands, and I imagine the Hawaiian people going about their idyllic day (although it probably wasn't idyllic, but it's my fantasy so shut up) and they look out to the same horizon they've looked at for generations (over 1200 years and 60 generations) and see a fleet of tall sailing ships there instead of a clean horizon.

I'm sure some of the Hawaiians ran and got weapons and the dumb ones were rejoicing about something, but the wise ones probably just sat on the shore and said "OH SH*T", from this moment on our lives will never be the same.

Our reality as we know it, is over.

Senators get classified briefing on UFO sightings

“If naval pilots are running into unexplained interference in the air, that’s a safety concern Senator Warner believes we need to get to the bottom of,” his spokesperson, Rachel Cohen, said in a statement.

“There are people coming out of the woodwork,” said one former government official who has participated in some of the meetings.
A current intelligence official added: “More requests for briefings are coming in.”

Hal Puthoff's name is on the leaked document, when Linda Moulton Howe asked Puthoff about it, He simply said he couldn't comment because of current disclosure agreements with the Government. He didn't deny the content. Linda and Hal have been close for decades, she could easily read between the lines.

Hal as you may know is currently TTSA with Tom Delonge, these guys have been 100% accurate in what they said they would do so far. This is why I am paying attention to this development rather than just laughing it off.

Two years ago most people laughed at Tom Delonge, most who follow him aren't laughing anymore.

I saw an interesting talk about why we haven’t seen any evidence of other intelligent life.
Yes, there are billions of galaxies, with trillions of stars and planets, but the distances between galaxies is vast and increasing. In the expected lifetime of the universe, we are relatively early, but the opportunity for aliens to exist in the 14 billion years it has existed already is high. So where are they? Or their probes?
The rare earth theory suggests that with all the potential barriers to intelligent life forming, and staying alive, and being self aware, and being on a place able to generate interstellar travel, etc., etc. we may be one in a trillion kind of odds or worse. There are only 100-400 billion stars in our galaxy so there may be many potential habitable planets here, maybe some with life, maybe some with multicellular life, or more complex organisms, or advanced life that once existed but was destroyed by any number of possibilities along their development, but we very well may be alone in our galaxy, or possibly the universe.
