I don’t think order time has anything to do with it. I was checked out 30 seconds after it dropped and I’m in New York.

I have no BP purchase history and likely will never own another but I was able to buy this one knowing full well I could return it if I wanted to.
Yes the return policy is fair (and in reality they probably have to offer some type of return policy being a legitimate dealer) but my point is what is wrong with showing what the watch will be and price even 24hrs in advance? The only reason I can see is that they know it perpetuates the hype and virtually ensures a fast sellout as it pits everyone against each other and against the clock, which to me is manipulative and somewhat unethical. A good watch of small quantity should sell out even with 7 days notice so why not give it?

This one lasted longer than I thought it would.

Can anyone confirm 20mm lug width? Plan to order the sailcloth but don't have shipment confirmation yet for mine.

I was told 20 x 18, which would mean we would need a different buckle as the buckle that comes with it is 20.

Thank you sgfortino. That checks on the buckle as the sailcloth tapers vs. the straight NATO. Fortunately the single buckle hardware isn't too pricey.

Wow i thought these were only ship in late December! Have a question to the ones who got the Hodinkee LE, does order in progress mean not confirmed and still waiting to ship? Or should it show order confirmed, awaiting shipping?

Thanks!

I have never owned a Blancpain before, but saw this release and just knew I had to have it. I don't care about the Hodinkee name/association. It is on the rotor and makes no difference to me. It came yesterday morning and it is without question, amazing. The size, the dial and the way light plays off it is stunning. Here are some quick pictures:

WOW - I will say that you made the watch look even better than the Hodinkee pictures.

Cannot wait for this!

Thank you! It has been a long time since a watch came in that I just can't get over how nice it looks and feels on the wrist. The NATO is super comfortable. Congrats to those others that ordered. Definitely opened my eyes up to the brand.

It’s funny that members here could correctly guess which changes Hodinkee would do to the old limited, still Blancpain couldn’t figure out what to release on their own.

Got mine yesterday as well. Love it.
Also for those wondering, it comes with springs bars vs the old pins and sleeves!

Just got mine. I must say....this thing is AWESOME. I have pretty small wrists but this one fits very well. The NATO strap though leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. I put it on a single piece Zulu strap I happened to have and like it a lot better (just my opinion on natos generally).

I do wish for the price it also came with the sailcloth strap and 18mm buckle....$380 extra but would have gone a long way.

There are also other subtle differences vs the 2017 LE that I see now, most notably the bezel. The coin edge on this version is much smaller and less pronounced than on that model.

I super happy with this one and see a lot of wear in it’s future.

Wow, these photos are fabulous! Much better than the press photos on Hodinkee.

The watch looks much better than I thought.

Mine is still "In Progress" as well.

I too am not happy about the NATO, as I dislike NATO straps in general. Hodinkee really should have included the $380 Blancpain sailcloth strap with buckle instead and maybe added one of their own generic $20 NATOs but I guess this way Blancpain gets to make even more money by selling extra straps and buckles to a bunch of people. I'm strongly considering ordering the sailcloth strap, the rubber tropic strap, and the bracelet but the bracelet is over $2,800 not including tax. I'll wait until I get the watch to make sure it's a keeper. To those of you that have the bracelet on a similar watch, do you think it's worth it over the sailcloth or the rubber tropic?

Considering the bracelet too but wondering that kuda and milspec 1 are high polish which this one is brushed. I can’t remember what the endlink is and does the brush ruin the aesthetic - welcome comment. Agree, nato is weak. Needed SC
