I think that is caused by the rehaut. It seems to be a bit wider (broader) than the older version?

It is.

Has a slight retro feel to me but in a really good way.

Good point... and it looks like it sinks more in the dial at different angle, and that in combination with bigger subdials change the whole look... the feel I got from some pictures is like it is Offshore Perpetual...

Would love to see live pictures one next to another...

The rate of complaints about chrono malfunctions seems to have declined somewhat - not sure if that's a sign that AP is getting this under control.
Just checked the prices on chrono24 today and who can pull the size, the gold 44mm ROO is the best value in AP world right now. Rose gold, ceramic bezel, classic dial combination, a true classic.

Next release (as part of the 150th) will be October 25th.
Fratello watches confirmed it recently.

That’s quite a while wait. I’m surprised there’s nothing in the meantime.

How “complicated” is the ceramic piece I wonder.

I saw the new steel QP yesterday - in person, I was not bothered by the subdial size. Still, sand gold might be the one to go for, if one has the choice.

I would guess there will still be other non-150th LE releases coming. Not everything released this year is a 150th LE with the new codes and ROO for example.

Yes, just the grand sonneries and qps are marked as 150th... no way we will not see another 10-15 color changes on codes and roos till october...

That's just gorgeous, especially on the contrasting off white strap.

The Code 11.59 has certainly come into itself now IMV.

Let's pretend neither are 150th anniversary pieces and you can get the allocation. Would you pick this code at say $70K on the grey...or the new SS QP from your SA for $120K (counting sales tax)?

Hmmm....

Or add 50 more and buy the 150th 5135 and pinch those correction pushers like a voodoo doll

What would you choose if offered a NON-150 Stainless Steel RO and the 150 Code?

I really like the code a lot, and maybe even like it more than the RO. But it's hard to ignore the watch's market value. Even if you ignore the market value, the powder blue color makes it a lot like a "fun" watch, which I am not willing to spend 100K+ for.

I think you already have your answer right there. I would ignore value at this price point and just buy the watch you will love and wear.

Best would be owning both. But have to say: the Code surprised me in so many ways! It is one of the watches that gets the most wrist time here.
