Very nice shoes Are and Lisa. Lisa, now that you wear those I don't think you have the right to call me a hipster anymore!

Cute hens, clearly they're getting big!

Hi All..Happy Saturday

Laughing at anything that might rhyme with Carl...sorry Carl..LOL Is cute.

Wes...did you get dressed in the dark? Hope your mates at the pub didnt look at you too strangely. Nice shoes.

Im not a sneaker person. I wear them at work and I wear them at the gym, and thats pretty much it. When Im not wearing institutional clothing I like to dress nicely and wear loafers or some other nice shoe that dont match green scrubs. LOL . Im prissy that way.

Im pretty excited that starting Monday Im part of a computer training program for the intensive care units, primarily training the doctors on computer entry for orders etc. I will still be working 12 hr shifts, both day and night rotations, including weekends, but I won't be doing any direct patient care. SO glad to have a bit of a break. AND....I get to wear street clothes! Which also means, I get to wear my watches.

Art...I find it interesting how you made your chicken flying by the seat of your pants. Was it edible? Inquiring minds want to know. Um..if I should end up coming to your neck of the woods, I don't mind going to a restaurant.

Actually, Judy it turned out well, considering the only thing I did correctly was to buy the right sauce. I made two, had one last night and will eat the other one today. Don't think I'll try to make it again though.

Wes, that watch looks great indeed and 37mm is, to me, a pretty good size for a chronograph (besides, it would make it look even more different than your Speedmaster). The watch may not be brand new but its condition is really mint.

I am not an expert in Heuer's but the price doesn't seem that bad. Have you been able to find other models to compare? Have you thought about contacting someone here?
Thanks Carl, not sure what you mean about contacting someone here, who?

Obviously have looked at others to compare price, there's not many about, but seems fair I think. All depends if anyone else bids.

One of the sellers on this forum. if you ask David Farkas, David SW, Greg or Tony you could always ask them if there's a way to source a Heuer like that one and see what price they could offer you. Worst case scenario, they tell you they can't find anything but if ever that model on Ebay goes to someone else you could trry to find one around here.

Ladies, gentlemen, here's Carl's protip for the day:

Never...ever...go to Costco on a Saturday afternoon. I never thought I had a bit of agoraphobia until I entered that store today...

I have a pass for there but can't stand the place. Even the parking lot I don't like. Too crowded.

I think it's a great place and love to go there with my mother when it's early in the morning (I went from a night hawk to qutie a morning bird when I started my watchmaking program), however, today it wasn't nearly as enjoyable...

Here ya go Lisa,

they came with two kinds of laces, I like the leather ones. The dirty look along the white part is a coloring they put on there. They make the same ones with a whitish toe and I am looking for those, just fun to wear around the house and certain places. I've had a few teens ask about them. The leather is high quality and smells so good, if they said Gucci on them they would cost $600 :chuckle

Yes, it can be fun to look around in there. The one around here carries Breitling, Omega, IWC, Hublot, Cartier, Tag and some others.

Those soles are so cool! Wish mine looked like that!

Converse can be addictive, can't they? So many cool designs. Glad you're happy with them - they look really good.

You know, I never got into crock pots. I have a couple of big pots that work just fine - they can simmer anything a crock pot can, and I used them often to cook beans, chili, or roast. I'm not a small appliance/kitchen gadget person at all. Just don't have the space for them or the interest in using them.

Got the call from my jeweler Friday... my emerald ring is in. Went and got it today. Here it is - couldn't get a very good pic - the phone doesn't do as well with closeup as my digital camera. It's not a high quality emerald, but it's got the color and the size I was after. It's set in white gold and has some little diamonds around it.

Now you need an LV to match.

Yep converse are very popular here too. I wear the black a lot, the white's not so much, mud and white canvas don't go well.

Lovely ring, very sparkly.
