It's my Dad that got in trouble, can't take him anywhere. Pointing something out in a painting his finger was like an inch away, and got told off. And his phone went off, which he answered. Me and mum have to walk away and pretend we don't know him.

Don't think she wears it everyday, but a lot.

I agree, Pong was a lot of fun for the mid-seventies(at hearing that the kids today roll their eyes and shake their heads in disgust). Pam's parents were the first people I knew who went out and bought a computer in the middle 1970's...they bought an Apple IIe.

As for arcade games I enjoyed playing Space Invaders, Asteroids and Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. Then I believe there was a game called Centipede???

Art, down in Carbondale, IL. (S.I.U.)in 1975...T-Shirts as you described were all the rage. The stores got very competitive in pricing so you could end up getting three T-shirts for $10.00. The only problem with the iron-on stickers were that after about 5-7 washings the shirts would begin to fade..."Planned Obsolescence"!!!

I think I acted that way at the exhibit I went to a few months back. I'd get too close and get yelled at by some teenager in a blue blazer.

Sliced tomatoes are excellent on pizza and if you like garlic(a bulb)...fresh garlic clove cut up and spread all over the pizza is supreme. Btw. you can cut up the tomato when you put on all your other ingredients and then pop it in the oven. You do not have to wait until the end to put the slices on!!!

I put the tomatoes on tonight and they were a very good addition.

Art, sounds great...there are a few ingredients I do not like on pizza(such as fish or chicken with BBQ sauce)but it always tastes great the next morning cold for breakfast.....

When my Mom was alive we used to get tickets for all of the major Art Shows/Exhibits at the Art Institute of Chicago. We could and did usually spend 2 1/2 to 3 hours walking through the exhibit halls and reading all the information available(printed text with photos sometimes)on the walls next to the paintings. I always bought the Art Exhibit books and Monet I would say was always my favorite. We saw two shows on Monet through the years and the show highlighting his "Series" paintings was by far my favorite. I could and did lose track of time while walking through this Exhibit. By looking at a painting from 15 to 20 feet back and then walking up to the ropes in front of the painting you could see each brush stroke and the interplay of colors...absolutely amazing. And then the next painting was the same subject matter like the "Haystacks" but done at a different time of day so the colors were different but the same!!!

With my Grandparents living just a mile or less away from the Museums I use to go by myself as a teenager and spend the whole day at the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum of Natural Studies, the Adler Planetarium and the Art Institute. I would eat lunch at fantastic restaurants and stop in at my Grandfather's Law Practice and have drinks with him and his partner in the late afternoon.....

Hi All...its been a challenging 2 days. Im now taking my computer training class at work for the week. We go live with CV ICU on Tues. 18th. We're at our next phase of entering orders and med orders. I know...for the US hospitals this was probably done 10yrs ago as my friends at Duke tell me all the time. However, this is Canada and a bit slower pace here. Plus Im POSITIVE someone got on their knees to get this new system approved. Why reinvent the wheel? There are plenty programs out there that are already fantastic. ANYWAY... so starting next Tues Im teaching the docs and nurses on the new procedures. It will be fun I think in the sense I won't be in uniform and doing traditional nursing duties. There are 14 of us from Critical Care training staff. Is going to be different. LOL

If anything will make me relook Nursing Informatics. I did check out a couple universities that are running the courses. If I like it, I might do it. I have another 20 or less yrs to retire. Why not....I'll see....

All of a sudden at 22:30 pm that pic of Arts Pizza is distracting. LOL Im going to suck back another protein shake. Im seeing 2 dimples now instead of 1...LOL I dont want to go backwards now. LOL

Morning coffeeshoppers.

Got the Tag today, and I gotta say I really love it. I'm amazed with it's condition, really does feel brand new.

Wes, that watch is very nice. The 0 to 100 scale is to record flight times. Pilots break the time down into 100's to record a flight time.

Wow, that's a great looking watch, Wes. The leather strap is beautiful! I like the new one you've got, but the old one looks fine, too. Didn't know Tag made a chronograph, but they do it well.

Vintage Heuer's go for good money and are very collectable, before TAG bought the company in 1985. I'm not a big fan of their current lineup, but do like their re-editions of older watches. They normally leave Tag off the dial for these.

See, here is the same scale on this pilots watch.

There are place you can read how it's done. A Breitling web site or a Chronolog. I'll see later if I can find it.

Thanks Art, I did read it in the instruction manual, but still can't get my head around why you would break a minute into 100th.

Ya must of heard of the Monaco Lisa?

This is Ken's Mcqueen Monaco, and is to-die-for. Hope he doesn't mind me posting a pic.

It's just pilot talk. It makes sense but has been a long time since I understood it, now I want to read about it again.

I've had the chance to look and hold a similar watch not too long ago, it's really something else!

Ah, I see. When was the original model of this Heuer produced?

60's I believe. A nice history and pics here.

Today's Carrera line have little resemblance to the originals, and have obviously been beefed up a lot.

Yep, overconsumption is indeed the problem.
Junk food boosts your metabolism, so it's not bad at all if you eat it now and then.

I am not a member of Peta, but I do agree with some of their statements.
