Those strap smell good too, Chopard puts vanilla scent in them.

Nope, Jim! Even having three pet hens doesn't put me off of tasty chicken.

But I could never eat duck again...

I haven't eaten duck very often in my life but I must admit I did like it, it tastes pretty good indeed.

Don't take this the wrong way though Lisa, I'd never touch your baby duck unless it was to pet him.

Not something I would have often either, only at a Chinese restaurant, crispy aromatic duck in pancakes, Mmmmmm. Sorry Lisa.

Can't say I've ever had those, yet again it's been an awful long time since I've been to a Chinese restaurant.

You can also get it as a take-away. Indian and Chinese restaurants are very popular here.

We have quite a few here as well but I haven't been to one of these in a rather long time. In fact, I think the last one I went to was a vegetarian restaurant for a friend's birthday, she doesn't eat meat.

Indian restaurants, I love these! I must say though that Asian restaurant-wise the place I go to the most is a Sushi restaurant so I think I'm more than due for some variety.

P.S.: I've also been to an Afghan restaurant once...their food is amazing!

I hear badminton is pretty intense - hope you're feeling better soon.

Nothing new going on today really. Violet's been home sick with a head cold/fever so I'll be taking it easy with her at home, too. We are in for a pretty day, so I might try to clean out the flowerbeds a little. Not very exciting!

Thanks, I'm not too bad really, next time I play, it won't be so bad.

Hope Violet starts to feel better. Have fun in the flowerbeds!

Good Morning All... finally done work for this week. Chilling out sounds like a good idea Wes..I might do that today. Im still hacking up my lung and am tired from coughing. :-( I was going to take my 87 yr old aunt out for lunch and take her to her favourite store for an outfit, but really, Im just too sick to be with her today. I can breath ok, its just the headache I'll get being with her. She is a VERY outspoken, cranky elderly German woman. I should be absolutely in the best of health for a few hrs with her. hahaha Lisa, hope Violet feels better. My goodness that duck is so cute! And the food looks fantastic. I could eat avocados everyday. I like Guac too.

Good morning everybody.

Tonight's the night, leaving for my friend's cottage and spending a whole weekend with a rather snowy Mother Nature.

Judy, that little duck was very special to us - my then 9-year old found him as an egg, just sitting near the sidewalk, on her way home from school. We rented an incubator and 27 days later he hatched! We took him to a wildlife center after a week or so.

Glad you like the food piccies. It's hard to cook for three kids and a gluten-free husband, but I still enjoy it.

Carl, sounds like a nice time... I'm invisioning a snowy Swiss Chalet!

Hee hee... tried to do an image search of such a chalet, and found this. It will work!

Close enough Lisa, minus the creepers and zombies...I'm not excluding giant spiders as they have those!

Judy, I wish you a speed recovery my friend.

Wes, getting back in shape isn't easy at first. I do know that I've had a lot of moments where I'd feel very sore. I hope you'll be able to enjoy more badminton games though.

I quite like that sport actually, this Summer I'd like to play it more often.

Happy Sunday.. :-)

Carl..thank you...I keep plugging along but the darn antibiotics and puffers aren't doing much good. Heading back to docs tomorrow if I dont end up at a walk in clinic tonight. I hope you had a great weekend at the cottage.

As much as this darn pneumonia is bringing me down, I still got out to the slopes yesterday to watch my nephew at his last lesson. I can't believe how much he has improved! The kid's a speed demon now. Last year he was only 3 and pretty much spent 1/2 the time sitting on his a$$ crying..LOL This year, the instructors have to chase him down. My brother told him he had to slow down and he said "but daddy, I like to go fast". My brother was up on the slopes skiing yesterday and was taking videos of my nephew. We were cracking up last night watching the instructors run after Marcus. What made it so funny was that Marcus was flying down the hill and completely in control. Just wouldn't stop. LOL The best vid though was the one my brother takes a wipe out in. He was skiing sideways, his edge caught & he wiped out. All caught on video. I met Travis Gerrits who was on the Canadian Olympic team for mens freestyle aerials & came in 7th. He was signing autographs. Its was the Glen Eden's 50th anniversary and Travis is from Milton. Was a fun day to be there. I will try to load up some pics later tonight. In the afternoon my brother and SIL went to the mall & I was with the kids for a few hours. We had fun.

All right..gonna do some housecleaning.

Mikki, I like your idea of a weekend. LOL

Still not feeling better Judy? Seems to be a lot of it going round at the moment. Me not feeling well this weekend is totally self inflicted, so no sympathy expected.

I'm gutted not to be going skiing this year, struggled to get people together. You are so lucky to have ski slopes near-ish you.

Well hope you get better soon.

Thanks Wes. :-) I had a bout of self infliction unwellness a few wks back and I realized there is no way I can do that anymore. LOL Nothing close to you as far as skiing? There are slopes about 1-1.5hrs north of Toronto that are better & more challenging than Glen Eden in Milton. Its a local town hill thats actually pretty decent for the population it serves. From my brothers door to the hill is about 10 min. I hope to be ok to ski next year. I have a lot of work to do physically to get there and not sure the tear in my knee will stop me. I think its gotten better from working out at the gym so Im hoping that by next winter it will be doable to hit the less challenging slopes with my nephew. :-)

We must be one of the only hot places, it's going to be hot again all week. Time for another move, Greg.
