Great news about your daughter, Art. What was her major? Sounds like she has the world by the tail.

Thanks. Elementary education. Going to be teaching 3rd grade. Big demand for that work around here. Got all her Fla. certifications and is also certified to teach non-Engish speaking students.

Art, I'm glad your daughter has graduated from College and teaching the "Little RugRats" in Elementary School will present many challenges and rewards!!!
Lisa, I'm sure they do but you have such a cool model it may pique their interests..... Who knows...they could turn it into a Hot Rod and I could see you at the Drag Strip racing it in the quarter mile at close to 300 miles per hour. You know nerves of steel.....

Hi Everyone! Wow wow wow..some happy news on here.
Karis...Congratulations on the new addition. She must be beautiful. Im sure that Daytona will look as awesome on her one day as it does on you. Art, congratulations at your daughter graduating. Woo Hoo.. No more college tuition! How do I get on the gas card program? Welcome Jen Greg, sorry to hear of your moms fall. I have been dealing with my mother and her gait has been increasingly getting unsteady. Have to close all doors leading to any stairwells. She will topple for sure. Lisa, the garden looks great. The tree is interesting too. Nice foliage and colour. The girls are growing up! And looking more like you all the time! Hope everyone else is doing ok. :-) As for me, well...I had a bit of a fall on Tuesday night after the torrential rain we had. Not my fault, but thats another matter at this point. Anyway, I fell, landed on my right knee, my left hand took the brunt of my weight and therefor tore my ligaments in my thumb/hand. I have a half plaster cast till I see the plastics doc next week where I will get a handy dandy full hard cast. Im off work for min. 4 wks. I really am not doing so well with one hand. Thankfully it was my left hand that was damaged and not my right which is my dominant hand. I didnt realize what a skill it was to be able to unsnap a bra clasp with one hand. Kudos to those that do it. I guess my social life is gonna slow down a little. Although, I will be attending the wine tasting party I was invited for for tomorrow night. I can still hold the stem with my right hand. I was getting frustrated yesterday because Im not able to wear my watch. My brother drew on a watch with a Sharpie. A really bad Rolex fake version. LOL Coronet under the hands..LOL Made me laugh. Its always 9 o'clock. No word from Karl yet? I hope he's doing ok. Thinking of you Karl. |

Hey Judy...sorry for your mishap and do understand your frustration of only having one good hand and wrist. Of course I do not have to deal with "Bras" but could you wear your watch on your right wrist???
Take care and behave yourself.....Leo

Hi Leo...
I did try doing that but it felt really weird. I just couldn't get used to it. Its much heavier than a bracelet and I was banging it into everything. I was sure that the side that doesn't get that many scratches was going to be dented if I didnt take it off. In the meantime, I just look at my phone.. |

I know it's not the same but if you still want to wear a watch...maybe get yourself a Casio G-Shock to wear in the meantime. This way you do not have to worry about knocking it around, can tell time w/o your cell phone and G-Shocks now come in all kinds of colors!!!

Hi Judy! Sorry to hear about your hand....ouch! Hope it heals quickly!
Appreciate the wishes....I'm biased of course but yes, she's beautiful! Dark blue eyes and dark hair! Funnily enough, I think she already has her eye on my Daytona! She seems to have inherited her mother's fine taste! |

Hope your hand heals quick Judy. Maybe keep the Rolex in your purse, and take out when you wanna check the time. Although taking it out might not be easy with one hand Or put it on a Nato and wear on your ankle.
Aw Karis, her hair/eye combination sounds beautiful. Hope she's letting you get some sleep. Love them VW camper vans, Art. Lisa might want to restore that rust bucket. Karl who???? |

Just got back into town after a little vacation with my girls to Beavers Bend state park. Fishing, paddleboating, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, and staying in a cool old cabin.
We also stopped at Heavener Runestone State Park: Dawna, bet you know where we were in this pic. Lane Frost's grave at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. He was buried near his friend and mentor... |

He was killed in the arena by a bull named Takin' Care of Business, Wes. There's a movie about him called "8 Seconds," which is the length of time a rider has to stay on a bull to earn points. |
